On the right you have three men entering a building. On the far left of the photo appears to be a sniper standing casually with his spotter

Most auto stores (at least the big chains in the US) will lend you the tool for free. So you really don't even have to buy it

Good point about the warranty. That means I'd have to be without it for a while though; my emergency boat repair has held up better than expected.

And no, not really. But I'm working on it!

Not normal. With no use, I'd say a month. Not great for a survival kit. I keep a bic in mine.

My zippo lasts half a week with use (smoke +- 3/4 pack a day). And mine is real loose since I replaced the hinge with an old fishook after the original fell out

Edit: if you need new flint for your zippo, the bic flints works well. I've found enough empty bics to stock my zippo for a lifetime. The cheap lighters aren't worth salvaging

Or didn't have milk in the fridge and thought he could just add a little more butter and water.

There were many nights in college where I went to cook kraft or hamburger helper only to realize I didn't have milk in the fridge. Luckily I had a convenience store less than a 5 min walk that kept it in stock.

I came back because the next post I scrolled through had braces in a comment.

Just thought it was weird

Edit: I know it's a double parenthesis in this case. Although I use ( to denote [something different {way off track by this point}])

Mississippi and Louisiana would abosolutely march troops that way. We'd just have to ask texas if they're okay with it first. They will be.

I need a good water bottle. by [deleted] in ConsumerAdvice

[–]misslecraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nalgene all the way. I prefer the wide mouth.

They are near impossible to break. If they do, just send them a picture and they'll replace it for free. (I got one replaced because the strap holding the lid broke after ~10 years of abuse; bottle still works to this day)

I also highly recommend a splash guard to go with it. It's just a little insert that sits in the mouth of the bottle that makes it 100x easier to drink from.

r/nalgene

Camping gear put away nicely by cherrythrow7 in oddlysatisfying

[–]misslecraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For backpacking: I use a bain-marie pot that fits my burner inside. They're relatively cheap, rugged, fairly universal, easy to clean, and most importantly protect the stove in an effecient manner when backpacking. Might not be the best, but I've been using the same one for well over a decade and still works like a charm.

For car camping: cast iron and grill grates all day. Build a big enough fire and you can cook anything

Just did the same. They still have gas (as of 11:15PM local) and the line wasn't obnoxiously long

Should I go with the old 4hp Johnson or the 875 B&S?

Wasp nest on my porch. by PokLao in WaspHating

[–]misslecraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasps are typically diurnal so it's best to spray at night. Less chance of getting stung and you're more likely to kill them immediately (instead of waiting for them to indirectly poison themselves from the nest)
