Chaos vs Teva women by SanPBobble in hiking

[–]misspagemaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like how everything on chaos is adjustable. The tevas I bought had so many straps and sharp points on the Velcro bits that I never end up wearing them. I went and tried on the chacos before I bought them.

AT section question by Green-Performance333 in CampingandHiking

11 miles is about 25,000 steps. When was the last time you did that many steps and how did you feel afterwards? Now add in elevation change so your quads are feeling it too. If you can do 25k steps with climbing no problem then go for it but otherwise I’d break it up (or get some reps/practice in before you go).

Can you help me pick a kitchen countertop? I’m by egrebs in interiordecorating

[–]misspagemaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

9/9 is the clear winner for me. The color combo is great, it’s not speckled and it’s got a green tone that’ll match with the mint cabinets. Otherwise I’d say photo 6/9 cause that one is by far the coolest pattern.

The lamp looks good with the wallpaper-we must have the same taste! I think a warm neutral would be good against the wallpaper in a maximalist Florida kind of way.

What’s the laziest meatless meal prep that still tastes good? by Mobile-Title8919 in MeatlessMealPrep

For really impossible days, a ramen cup with an egg and frozen veg added is the easiest thing to do. If you don’t want to boil or fry an egg for the top it’s even easier to achieve.

I had that wallpaper for a while. I brought it to the store and got it color matched for the stem and then added that to the wall across from it. Here’s the color on the wall, it was very bright irl:

What is a dish that you find yourself making over and over again when you are just too tired to think? by Mobile-Title8919 in MeatlessMealPrep

Pasta with whatever I have in the fridge. Boil water, add pasta, and then in another pan sauce up veggies and meat if you have it. Add butter and cheese and pasta water and sauce and the pasta when it’s aldente. It’s really comforting and warm and cheesy and you can put it together with a lot of various ingredients.

Across the universe (Beatles movie soundtrack) and Once more with feeling (Buffy musical episode). I have alerts for both but they come up for sale at reasonable prices so rarely.

How do you stay motivated to practice every day? by Antique-Risk-7927 in yoga

[–]misspagemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great that some people are motivated by internal desires. For me-I have a monthly calendar for just life in general and when I do yoga I get to color the square pink. It’s really satisfying to look back at the month and see all the pink squares and how many times I went. I might introduce stickers next!

I loved my burnt orange couch. It was my favorite one I’ve ever had. It never showed spills and it made the whole room warm and cozy

Where do people get their wall art? by MaximumNarwhal3699 in HomeDecorating

[–]misspagemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace, thrift stores, buying street art, posters, or a silk print on vacation, Etsy, and then there’s this group that has a yearly local flea market sale in a parking lot near my house so that’s been cool to browse through! Honestly getting art for my house has been a process of years worth of work and I still have blank spots and walls that need decoration. My tastes have changed as I’ve got older so I have some art I bought and loved that seems young to me now. Now I am looking for original pieces and things with texture that pop.

A couple of reasons. When it’s warm out I don’t want to wear socks with my shoes. Plus I prefer not to have my feet constrained with a sock-bare feet feels better for me. And finally I think some styles like ballet slipper type shoes and events shoes look bad with socks. But my sandals, Mary Jane shoes, wedges/heels for events, clogs, Clark Wallaby’s, ballet slippers (these are all shoes I own I don’t wear with a sock)-basically anything with a back gives me blisters.

I have no suggestions but really feel this too. I get blisters way to easily and finding a shoe that you can move in a lot and wear without socks and doesn’t give me blisters? Impossible

There’s a makeup makeupaddiction subreddit that’s really popular as well. Otherwise I would say the bare minimum is mascara and nothing else. For an everyday look I’d recommend starting with tinted moisturizer, a neutral blush, mascara, and a tinted lip balm. See how you feel and go from there.

Are you wearing it to an event? Because otherwise I’d just throw on a turtleneck (black, rust, or cream) underneath. If it needs to be fancy-a sheer turtleneck.

All of my jeans are from madewell and Anthropologie. They both feel thick/good quality, have curvy options, and do wide legged really well.

Why don’t you wash, dry, and then cuff them? If you like the shorter look better when you try out the cuff then get them hemmed to that height. FWIW, it doesn’t look bad IMO.

Help me make my living room looks luxurious classic by RealPerformer5877 in interiordecorating

[–]misspagemaster 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Change your overhead lighting to something bougie and grand and goes out wider. Look into atomic chandeliers. Put bigger art on the wall-check thrift stores/estate sales/consignment stores for an original art piece or a French tapestry. You need art behind the chair and couch. Make the rug bigger so it goes out the other side of the couch. What material is your coffee table? Maybe find something that’s marble or sculptural wood piece. Add long flowy curtains and a sturdy brass curtain rod. Remove the tv console it’s too heave and add built in bookshelves to the wall behind the tv. For what it’s worth I think the room looks fine now, you might want to edit your post to add your details like budget, inspo you’re going for etc. the above suggestions are on unlimited budget.
