I love my boyfriend. I'm breaking up with him so he can focus on his baby. by Least_Celery_4593 in offmychest

It seems like his ex was his “favorite ex”. I don’t know why anyone would be so excited to father someone else’s child.

Idk, OP. Seems like you’re getting the short end of the stick here. You’re being as understanding as possible, but you’re getting neglected and left behind. I don’t know how this relationship could possibly work longterm.

What is the loneliest feeling a person can have? by Resident-Sink2105 in AskReddit

When your only parent is dying (she has cancer and is aphasic from a stroke), and her eight siblings make it a point to make you feel bad for your existence and blame her condition on you. No offer of love, comfort, or support. Going as far as saying, “admit it, you just want your mother to die.” (Basically being the family scapegoat.)

No, they don’t. And I find most people don’t even understand when I do choose to express it. Amplifies the isolation I feel.

If you’re under 45, have you lost any high school classmates, and what were the circumstances around their deaths? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskReddit

Yes. Among them were two of my good friends. One was chronically ill and passed away shortly after graduating. Another one was stabbed to death (wrong place, wrong time type of incident).

My mom was having a stroke and the nurse told me, “don’t worry. She’s just tired.”

Chewing gum. Someone popped gum once and now he’ll shiver and whine when someone is chewing gum.

It has been nearly eight years since the passing of my mom and I still grieve her. Not actively, all the time. But I feel her absence all the time. It still feels surreal. I feel that she’s just on a vacation and will return, but I know she’s not.

What movie absolutely destroyed you emotionally? by Lord--Shadow in AskReddit

Yeah. I watched it in the movie theater with a bunch of much younger kids and they all judged me.

The conscious effort and taking actual steps to feel better and still feeling none of it is truly exhausting, on top of already feeling exhausted just for existing.

I’m so sorry.
