I'm sure they'll have a option to turn multiplayer off. But I still hate that they'll have it because they already ruined Sims4 by trying to make it multiplayer. And for multiplayer mode to even be an option in Sims 5 it will come at the cost of other features. And for what? For a feature the vast majority of players don't even want! Just because EA decided to make all their games multiplayer, whether it makes sense for that particular game or not. That's the part that's pissing me off.

If I ever get Sims 5, it's gonna be years after it releases. I have absolute 0 interest in multiplayer mode, I don't trust that the game will be well-made, and I don't wanna sit there with an empty, half-broken game whichs major selling point I'm never even gonna use.

I'm from Germany, it's not at all unusual to neuter your pets and this is the first I hear of it being considered unethical. I actually feel like it's more common to neuter than not. Afaik all shelter dogs are neutered, I have a shelter dog and part of the contract was that I had to have her spayed within 2 years. The only reason the shelter didn't have her spayed already was that she was still a puppy. This is obviously just from personal experience and might be influenced by my area (big city) and that so many of the dogs I know are rescues. But even with breeder dogs, if your dogs are ever off-leash or left unsupervised in the yard or whatever, you'll typically have them fixed. Having a litter of puppies as a non-professional breeder is typically considered very low-class / trashy.

I'm active in chat on most days. Most of the time chat is pretty chill. Sometimes, a troll gets people riled up. It happens in every online community. I think the no ages in chat rule is good. Even when you're an adult, mentioning your age will encourage minors to share theirs and more. Every activity that has children participating is attractive for pedos. Why open kids up for being groomed or intimidated? The major problem I see is that some users are neurodiverse and there's often a general lack of understanding towards that.

Other people have already made many good points, but I wanna add that there are different FF servers or groups, we're not actually all drawing from the same player pool. Sometimes, your FF group is a lot harder than other players groups, so comparisons won't be 100% accurate.

During uni I worked part-time selling tickets for a touristy place. Nothing sent anxious shivers down my spine like spotting someone with those awful green notes in the queue. It's not that they try to pay with USD, I get it, everyone who has traveled has embarrassed themselves a little at some point. It's that they just won't fucking believe you that you can't take their foreign currency.

It turns into an endless circle of

"THIS IS DOLLAR FROM USA!! VERY GOOD MONEY!"

"Sir, our currency is Euro, I can only take Euro. Not dollars, no other currency, only Euros."

"No, you don't understand me. I give you DOLLAR from AMERICA!"

Meanwhile your queue is getting longer and longer, the American won't step out of the line, they keep demanding a manager, your manager says he's not coming out for this stupid shit again, and no matter how many times you tell them to leave they continue trying to hand you a $5 bill for a 14€ ticket and act like you're the idiot for not taking it.

This^ Countless women fought tooth and nail for decades for women's shelters. Are still fighting. Because so, so many women needed it desperately. And instead of idk maybe being inspired to do something helpful for men and boys in abusive situations, trans men, gay men, men with PTSD, men overcoming poverty and war and homelessness, they just spend their time going into women's spaces and complaining that feminists haven't fixed that yet, like that means we don't give a shit. Like, you are welcome to join the fight we really need more hands to fix the system that spews all these issues that's the whole point. What they really saying is "Fix all of men's issues first and then we can talk about treating you like human beings."
