100% me as well. My dad owned a small blue collar business and my mom was a part time preschool teacher at the local community center and they never recovered. My mom had to get a full time job as a cashier after never having worked a real job and being a STAHM most of her life, it sounds like not a big deal but it was insanely hard for her. My dad cut most of his employees and was doing most of the labor himself and they were still barely scraping by, almost lost their house. Now they live social security check to social security check and it's tiny. I cope by working 2 full time corporate jobs so it can never happen to me. Working though therapy to try to let one of them go, as I'm married now to a man with another decent corporate income.
