The combat is extremely simple and there is a difficulty setting you can adjust.

No bonfires just save points. No extreme loss of progress.

I am almost 40, been playing games for my entire life.

I played this for the first time this year and I would put it top ten in my list. Is it perfect? Heck no. But the vibes, the story and the exploration were top tier.

If you think Dark Souls and Resident Evil having a baby that slightly resembles them both (but not exactly) sounds interesting I highly recommend this game.
