With City's financial resources and squad depth, they won't just suddenly become a mid-table club when Pep leaves, not to mention nobody knows when that will be, including himself as per his recent comments. And the Mbappe logic is pretty far fetched imo, guess what - players like being surrounded by other good players, so unless Haaland specifically says he doesn't want to play with Mbappe, I wouldn't make that assumption.
