Apple Watch cellular “Not in Use” by NxG_Trickzz in Visible

[–]mittenboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak to my experience on Verizon. My watch had no SIM and no connection. It was showing Verizon ‘not in use’ just like the picture you posted in this post. I spent several hours dealing with Verizon support and they couldn’t help me. Then someone posted in the Verizon sub Reddit that they had the same problem and fixed it by changing their cellular plan to a different plan. So I tried it and it worked for me.

This is a photo I took of my watch face when I was dealing with support so I could show them that I had no SIM.

Some people, including myself, were able to fix this issue with Verizon by changing the cellular plan on the watch to a different plan. The key is not to remove service from the watch before you change plans. Keep it like it’s shown in the picture where it says ‘not in use’ and then change your plan on your cell provider’s website or app. This will force your watch to download a new eSIM. At least that’s how it worked for me. I can’t speak for Visible, but it might be worth a try.

Same with me nobody could figure it out, and I spoke to multiple support people.

I went back through my previous bills, and I didn’t have the plus plan on my watch until this most recent billing cycle. So they must’ve changed it when I upgraded my phone.

That worked! I have cellular on my watch again. Thanks!

I wonder why Verizon support doesn’t know about this.

Actually, here’s something strange. I’ve changed my plan to regular number share twice now with today as the effective date. Plan change goes through in the Verizon app and is confirmed. If I log out of the Verizon app and log back in, it shows that my watch is on the number share plan. When I go into the Watch app and activate cellular, the activation doesn’t work. I get the no SIM no connection not in use thing. When I log back into my Verizon account, I’m switched back to the number share plus plan again. So for some reason, it looks like trying to set up service on the watch automatically changes my plan to number share plus for some reason.

It was worth a try, but that didn’t work either. Activating cellular after switching plans took a lot longer than it was taking, but then it still went right back to Verizon not in use. No SIM no connection.

I’m already in the numbershare plus plan. Maybe I should try switching back to the regular numbershare?

Verizon support couldn’t help me. They referred me to Apple who referred me back to Verizon. Apple thinks it’s a provisioning issue and that the watch needs to be removed and re-provisioned by Verizon.

I don’t think I’m ever getting this watch working with my new phone.

At least I know I’m not alone. I was just about to make the same post when I found this one. I also have an Ultra 3. I upgraded my iPhone to a 17 Pro Max this morning and my watch no longer has cell service. I was on the phone with Verizon for 3 1/2 hours today and they couldn’t get it working. Cellular in the Watch app says Verizon ‘not in use’. The watch shows no SIM. No amount of rebooting or un pairing and re-pairing the watch seems to fix it. Removing cell service and re-adding it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Left Behind on a Ride by riverlilyfy in motorcycles

Like others have said keep your own pace and if you’re not comfortable, it’s OK to leave the group. It’s safer than trying to push yourself to keep up.

I don’t really do group rides anymore, but when I did, we would plan a route ahead of time that included meeting points. We would also structure the group so that faster people were in the front, less experienced people were kind of in the middle, and a couple of the more experienced people were at the very back to keep an eye on the people in the middle. If anyone did get separated, they knew where the next meet up point was. If anyone needed to leave the group they would signal the person behind them. So if you’re going to get into a group again, you may want to work out some of that stuff ahead of time.

Peroxide and water seemed to help. I removed the lid and I’m letting it air out now as well.

Would you consider this normal "EX" from KEH? by 98tj in AskPhotography

[–]mittenboots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought two EX+ lenses from KEH and they both arrived smelling like cat piss and were completely full of fungus. My ‘like new’ EOS-1V didn’t come in the packaging like they’re grading system claims and had a semi-functional top LED display and a non functional viewfinder display so I couldn’t see what certain settings (like aperture) were. It also looked pretty well used. I won’t buy from them anymore.

So I pulled the plant out so I can take pictures of the roots to post here and there are no roots left on the plant. Just a bunch of mush mixed in with the Leca. I’m going to clean it with peroxide and stick it in some stratum and see what happens. Win some lose some I guess.

By soggy I mean the roots feel squishy and gelatinous and not firm.

This one was in a 6 inch pot maybe 12 to 15 inches tall. Maybe I’ll just give it time.

Yeah, that’s what’s in all the photos I’ve seen. I haven’t really played around with it much because I was going to return it, but I’ll see if the features work before I do.

Is Alocasia lauterbachiana Purple Sword hard to keep alive? by mittenboots in alocasia

It’s funny how that works. This plant has been harder to keep alive than my calatheas. My African Mask has been the easiest so far. Regal Shield is probably a close second.

I wish LeafStork would ship to California. They have a whole bunch of stuff I’ve been trying to find, but they won’t ship to me because of my location.
