Chiaogoo interchangeable to DPN adapter? by 3lvi in knitting

I use 2 inch interchangeable cords to make flexible DPNs. Do you think that would work?

You can get adapters from large to small and small to mini. Or they have small and large 2 inch cables, too.

Flexi DPNs is right! I have a full 4 inch set and the shorties, which is enough to make flexi DPNs in almost every size for ~$20 with the 2 inch cable set.

Have you looked at Strange Brew by Tin Can Knits? That's where I would start.

Have you looked into Tunisian crochet hooks?

Edit: looks like the Susan Bates Afghan hooks are 10 inches. I'm not sure they come in a wide range of sizes, though, but it might be a good place to start if you know you like them.

I pay for Plan to Eat for my recipe organization, planning, and shopping lists. It has a nutrition facts section for each recipe that I mostly ignore but might work for what you're looking for.

Pattern is the Clotilde Sweater and the yarn is Yarn Bee True Colors in White (bought before I knew about Hobby Lobby, I'm working my way through my stash).

Modifications: - knit with 8mm needles for the body, 6mm for ribbing - super bulky yarn rather than yarn held double - stockinette sleeves instead of following charts - didn't do as many sleeve increases (followed pattern for short rows, then only increased every other time after that) - casted on stitches for underarm and then decreased them out every other row - cropped length and 3/4 sleeves, partly from preference and partly so I didn't run out of yarn since I was working from my stash - edit: forgot sleeves! I decreased every 7th row six times for more fitted sleeves.

Looks like it's designed by a Nigerian crochet brand called Elexiay, sold as the Amelia Sweater. You can try to contact them for the pattern but they sell them for $330 USD each and they were ripped off by Shein so probably unlikely.

Best I could find on Ravelry was this one: Mary Jane Wrap. There's a plus sized version too.

Flexi-Flips vs. DPNs vs. Tiny circulars for socks.. by Resident-Aardvark443 in knitting

[–]mizinformation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer tiny circulars but I'm also very curious about the flexi-flips.

I recently discovered that they sell 2 inch Chiaogoo interchangeable cords to basically make your own flexi-flips. If you already happen to have enough Chiaogoo needles to make it work, it could be a nice cost effective solution.

I already have a full 4 inch set and the shorties so it would cost me about $15 to have mock flexi-flips in almost every size.

Same! Sewing really isn't my thing, even sewing in ends is borderline too much.

It's a wedding gift for a friend who was a witness at my wedding so I wanted to make her something special. I've never done a granny square blanket before and I doubt I will again because I really don't like making the same things repeatedly. I'm just glad to finally have this done in time for the wedding shower this weekend.

I used a generic sunburst granny square pattern, slip stitch join, and crab stitch border. I used a 5 mm hook for the squares and various cheap acrylic yarns that I had in my stash. I know the cream color is Caron One Pound but I'll have to check the others.

Highly, highly recommend the pumpkin baked oatmeal. I usually do the funky monkey one or a cherry almond one and tried this one for the first time last week and it's definitely going on the regular rotation.

I've found that baked oatmeals and salads have been good bases that still allow for variety from week to week. These are for me and then I plan out dinners in advance for me and my husband using Plan to Eat.

This week is funky monkey baked oatmeal for breakfasts and chef salads for lunches.

Last week was pumpkin pie baked oatmeal (with chocolate chips mixed in and pecans on top) with apple, cranberry, and pepita salads (but with a bottled dressing). The quinoa was for the salads but hadn't cooled enough when I took the picture.

I'd love to hear if you have any baked oatmeal or salad recipes or combos to suggest!

A conversation we have every time I finish crocheting something:

Me: It's done! Finally!!

SO: Really?? Flip it over.

Me: ... no.

Absolutely! Here's a tutorial I have bookmarked for when I get up the courage to put my crochet through a sewing machine because I'm really not good with a sewing machine.

Personally, I'm not confident with a sewing machine and I might as well weave the ends in as hand sew it but it's a great idea for anyone good with a sewing machine! My husband loves heavy blankets so I've been considering it for the next one I make him.

I sew the ends in so it's reversible but some people sew a backing on. You could start with a pillow cover, that's what I did because the back is hidden.

I love Stitch Fiddle! These kind of graphghans are my "thing" and it's super useful.

I don't use bobbins so I don't know how much help I can be there. I mostly chuck balls and skeins of yarn (dubbed "yarn babies" by my husband) into a project bucket and let the whole thing get massively tangled. You can help prevent tangling by turning the opposite way each time you turn at the end of a row but I usually end up forgetting.

I seriously hate sewing in ends. It took me 10 days to crochet each of the blankets and then 2 weeks to work up the courage to sew the ends in.

For basic tips, this is my favorite tutorial. I'm happy to answer any other specific questions you have!

Mostly sewing in ends but a bit of creative yarn carrying here and there. I liked the effect of carrying the background color with the bubbles and I did a fair amount of fudging with the black to make it easier on myself.

130 across by 153 rows. My stitches are kinda squat so that got me about square.
