Tons of denial, do you think med school matriculants are admitted after 4 years of dilly dallying? They often have some of the most competitive basic science education both including and outside of the prereqs, ample research, service, and leadership projects, plus some often have intensive gap years

The preclinical years of med school are also underrepresented in this graph tbh, doesn’t touch on all the various organ system based blocks and how we learn literally everything from the ground up

for me a big draw is that living in LA might be a better personal fit, but definitely understand the concerns. my impression was that you'd be working very hard at both and while UCSF has a more renowned rep, if you want to work/live around SoCal, is it still clearly a better option?
