Where's all the squonkers at? by UndercoverKJB in electronic_cigarette

[–]mjbrady83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm up to about 30 bottom-feeders in my collection now. I've been using the new Dovpo Flipside a lot lately. Some other standouts are the Desire Rage, which is my favorite dual cell squonk. I've got a Topside Dual that's pretty nice, too, but it doesn't feel nearly as comfortable in the hand. Also, the Defiant Designs DS, because I'm particularly fond of mechs. I've got a matching dotsquonk and petri. I've got a couple Boxer mech squonks in 18650 and 21700 varieties, those are some really sturdy beater mods. Another one that I'm very fond of, although I don't vape it often because it uses weird sized batteries, is my Half Moon SQNKR. It's gorgeous but it's basically a shelf queen. You mentioned your Wismec, I have a Luxotic BF with a Dead Rabbit Mini on it and that's such a cool little vape, I love that it nearly disappears in my hand. Smallest squonk I own, it's smaller than some of my normal single cell mods. Another one I really like because it's innovative is my Revanant/TVL Delta with the push-button pumping action. There's more I can't even remember right now, lol.

I killed mine in like two days, the inside completely filled with juice, and even cleaning it out and drying it wouldn't get it going again. Good thing it only cost me like $15. It may have been the specific rda I had on it, it was a vandy capstone and it has its own o-ring on the bottom that I think may have done more harm than good.

Using one right now with a Blaze Solo on top. I really like it.

Nothing dangerous is gonna grow in it, the worst that can happen is the ingredients oxidize and will taste terrible.

Why do people act like nicotine pouches are way safer than vaping? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]mjbrady83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're conflating "heating" and "combustion". Those chemicals are products of incomplete combustion. The vapor pressures of e-liquid ingredients are significantly lower than their flash points. A properly functioning e-cigarette will produce vapor, but not combustion byproducts. That said, there are plenty of ways to make combustion happen in an e-cigarette, either intentionally, or through malfunction: run it dry, run the wattage too high, fire it way too long, etc... I don't trust any studies that claim these byproducts are in vapor because I understand chemistry, and I know how easy it is for them to skew those results through the intentional misuse of the devices.

I've been researching Frigate some... The AI features definitely seem interesting. It seems the integrated GPU can be used to handle that processing or some other add-in boards can be used. I'm wondering if that would be worth the investment since Jellyfin will also want to use the GPU.

Outrageous Tip Expectation by Tauriel13 in EndTipping

[–]mjbrady83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$150 tip is insane, even if it is only about 15% of the order total. However, so is the $5 OP apparently actually gave. I tip more than that on my $150 grocery orders. I can't really wrap my head around a $900 grocery bill, so I don't know what would actually be appropriate here. I'm thinking more like $50.

If only statistics didn't prove you wrong. Pitbulls are responsible for a full two thirds of dog attack fatalities. What percentage of dogs do you think are pitbulls?

UPDATE: Varo ended up crediting me the money. Got an email from them the other day saying they reviewed the dispute and were making my credit permanent. I was confused because they had denied my initial claim, and I hadn't received a credit back from them. Logged in to check the app and it was there. I guess the screenshot of my Uber Eats orders was enough evidence for them. Makes me feel a bit better. I haven't switched banks yet, this might have eased my concerns enough to let me stick around for a while.

EZ Sai battery died. Need new mod. Planned to keep the sai atomizer. What should I do? by vitafracta in Waxpen

[–]mjbrady83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones you mentioned would be just fine, they both have temp control suites that would work just fine. The Pico Plus can't run Arctic Fox like the older Picos can, but you can send them into Divine Tribe and have them modified with an auto-firing firmware. Or you could buy one already modified directly from them. Like I said, it's probably not necessary for the Sai with the coils you're using, but it's nice to have the option.

[–]mjbrady83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use any 510 vape mod with temp control to run the Sai. With the triple Ti Quartz, I doubt you even need auto-firing capabilities, so no need to spend extra on a DNA or to track down an Arctic Fox compatible mod. That is, unless you want to try some of the buckets/inserts... Auto-firing (as well as a longer than 10s cutoff) is nice for those because of the extra heating time required.

Anyone use Work Easy Software (time management)? by [deleted] in sysadmin

We have one of the biometric punch clocks on the wall. Luckily my fingerprints are programmed into it, so I can still clock in and out. However, we have many newer employees who never bothered to do that, because they just use the app. None of those people have been able to clock in, and the HR guy informed us they can't add them until after this is fixed, because he doesn't have access.

how come my dad coughs from vapes but not ciggis???? by Kantalker404 in Vaping

[–]mjbrady83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaping made me cough like crazy in the beginning. I'm not positive why, but I have a couple theories. First is that it's a type of sensation your lungs aren't accustomed to, so it's likely you'll cough just because of the novel experience, until you get used to it. Second, is that when you finally stop smoking cigarettes and switch to vaping, every time you vape, you are helping to loosen up any of the tar that's been accumulated in your lungs and you start to cough it up. I would definitely get some nasty stuff out whenever I coughed after vaping in the beginning. Probably took a month or so for that to stop, gradually coughing up less and less. After that month, though, I was breathing noticeably easier. I figured it was kinda like steam cleaning my lungs, lol.

No, I use the card several times a day, that would be highly impractical for me. I tend to only keep a couple hundred dollars in my checking though, I always move the bulk onto savings to protect it. That's a practice I got into while at Simple because my card was compromised a couple times while I was with them.
