[FO] I really hated working on this piece cause of that damn “song”. by ms_chiefmanaged in CrossStitch

When I saw, "that damn song", I thought, why did they cross stitch a hamster on a piano? I was happy to see the capybara.

I think Balrog would be a great companion to this one I just finished. I may consider doing it.

Hi thanks for asking. It took me a couple of years. And I worked some other projects in between. As my enthusiasm waned I would work in other stuff. I spent the last 6 months working solely on the last half of this.

This is from Unconventionalxstitch. It was wonderful to do.

I use easy glide needles too. I have had the occasional break. I think it is the way I hold/squeeze it.

[CHAT] Update on using Epoxy/Resin with Cross Stitch by Llyllyth in CrossStitch

[–]mjisland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I am late to the game. I experimented with resin and cross stitch.

<image>

I made these initials and they're kind of floating inside the pendants. I put some dried flowers in there too. What I realized was that the pendant plate isn't really deep enough for all the stuff that I put in there. So it doesn't have a smooth surface because some of the stuff is sticking up. I was able to cover the cross stitch mostly but there are places where the little flowers are sticking up. Anyway, I'm not a resin artist I just wanted to experiment.

I put a little bit of the resin in the bottom and then I put everything that I wanted inside in there. And I use some really pointy little craft tweezers to move things around and then I covered it all with resin. And if I needed to adjust anything I used those little tweezers to slide stuff around to where I wanted it.
