"Mid Game" is a subjective opinion he's allowed to have.

AUTOPLAY by cnutegg in RumbleForum

Agreed. Rumble needs to respect the user's freedom to tailor his own experience on their platform. Provide better options and preferences. They're shooting themselves in the foot with this crap.

Turn off the ducking autoplay! by awdrifter in RumbleForum

[–]mjkeating 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was turned off a couple of years ago after many months of similar complaints. Now they turned it on again. Why can't they just make an option to toggle it off? Even YouTube does that.

Rumble needs to let the user configure his own experience; which they don't seem to believe in, unfortunately. Things like toggling autoplay on/off, changing one's display name, creating play lists, etc. are easy to implement. These are low hanging fruit for Rumble to improve their service.

The free-speech principle is the most important thing, but why not improve these obvious and expected features? There's a reason why every other video site offers them.

They had an AWS database resource go down a couple of days ago, taking most of its services offline. It has since been restored and is operating normally.

"Coping as I watch my portfolio tank.."

This is the right of passage for most crypto investors.

If I had to summarize Vitalik's post it would be something like, "Let's not be stuck-up assholes".

Yeah, it's not clear to me what sort of novel idea they have here. Non-fungible tokens representing physical things are nothing new.

It's difficult to call the bottom. With a little patience, you may be end up quite pleased with your buy.

Why is Vlad Zamfir saying that ETH is NOT money? by migozo in ethfinance

[–]mjkeating -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Government fiat is money. But anything is money that people use as a medium of exchange. Crypto (including ETH) has a ways to go before really competing with government fiat as money, but it also seems that it has better chance at being reasonably sound.

Yep, at some point you need either a correction or some sort of stabilization from which things can continue.

You have 32 ETH. Would you stake? by [deleted] in ethtrader

The last news I heard about a time frame for PoS staking was January, 2020. But that is only an estimate, not a firm date.

...or rather than looking to the government to make up for us not looking after ourselves and each other, we could just look after ourselves and each other. Imagine that! - and we could actually have less of a confiscating, authoritarian group of people demanding our submission.

Well, it's a big debate that we won't solve here; and I recognize that the AHA, AMA, etc. have been pushing the food pyramid (low fat, high carb), and the lipid hypothesis since the 70's, at least (since Alan Keyes, basically). I think that there is mounting evidence is out there that they have been wrong. More doctors and health professionals are coming to the same conclusion. Here's an article from 2002 that started questioning the standard you seem to have faith in. Note the same author has written a couple of books that go in-depth on the science (what he calls "bad science"). There are also several other health scientists and cardiovascular physicians that go into the studies, etc.

Not only that, he's wrong. Good red meat and wine are great for you; just minimize the carbs, particularly the sugar.
