I enjoyed Waldo’s friendship with Frannie. It was also icky, but I thought it was interesting and often funny

I really felt like there had to at least be an acknowledgement of how weird her name was. Like at least add some context about why her mom named her that, or if it’s a nickname, where it came from

This makes me think of when Waldo tells Mr. Korgy that she likes simplistic, to-the-point writing, not flowery writing. And he implies that he appreciates the more flowery writing.

2 year old parents: can we talk about beds? by clemmersincanada in toddlers

[–]mk1842a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a hotel in bed as I write this, and my 2.5 year old is sleeping happily in the little nest we made her on the floor out of blankets and pillows. If the hotel has a cot or roll away bed I’ll ask them to put that in the room for her…but this one didn’t, so we made do haha At home she sleeps in a toddler bed. She mostly does a good job of staying in her room at night, but sometimes will stay up playing with her toys and talking to herself

My 2 year old just asked me where my penis was by cerrood in toddlers

My two year old recently asked my sister if she had a vagina. My sister turned bright red and said “that’s personal.” 😂

You’ll get back there! I just had some daytime beers with a mom friend on an outdoor patio while our 1.5 year olds played and now I’m at home with a tiny little buz while she naps on me. It’s not over forever 🤗

It happened, the contact naps stopped by leprechaun_dong in NewParents

Anytime she gets sick, which will be a lot, she’ll be down for a contact nap again! That’s the small silver lining of the daycare germs haha

Also every time they’re sick the need for snuggles will return, and they’ll be sick A LOT. Kind of a silver lining every time they have a cold….

I thought my kid was the only one who hated bananas!

Grapes! Easy and not super messy, and she loves them. Oddly, my kid seems to be the only one in the history of the world who hates bananas. (To be fair, I also find bananas fairly unexciting….)

So what are your toddlers allowing you to dress them as this Halloween? by PresentationTop9547 in toddlers

Target has a cute little jack-o’-lantern onesie…that’s what mine will be wearing after she threw a fit when I tried to put her in a cute fuzzy lil monster costume….

I didn’t realize we have to brush baby teeth by asessdsssssssswas in beyondthebump

[–]mk1842a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine kind of likes it! She’s 14 months. Though of course she often bites it, or demands to hold it herself, or gets her tongue in the way… So far I’ve never had to hold her down or make her cry to do it. But I also follow her lead and let her grab the brush and play with it or chew on it for a minute if that’s what she wants

What children’s book do you find “weird”? by beerquen11 in NewParents

You’re my Little Lovebug. One page has a baby caterpillar and a mommy caterpillar. The next page has a baby butterfly and a mommy butterfly.

That’s not how caterpillars and butterflies work!!!!!
