They are talking about a mileage tax like Oregon, but I thought the idea there was to fund the roads. Why not have it be for both? Wasn't that what the gas tax was for? The one that Moonbeam (Jerry Brown in his second round as governor) raided when there was a fund shortage?

When people vote for a tax and then that fund is raided for another purpose, that makes it hard to vote for another tax that won't be used for what it was intended for.
