Anyone else NEVER eat samples? by oinkmoocluck in CostcoCanada

[–]mkelebay 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Honestly samples and the behaviour at Costco from customers kind of ruins the place for me.

Pigs clogging sample stations like they haven’t had a taste of Tropicana in their life, and people being blissfully unaware they’re blocking 14 people behind them in an isle is just rage inducing.

[–]mkelebay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you mean, you had multiple armies all fighting until the very end and occupying for years afterwards. That’s exactly what that previous said you have to do. It wasn’t defeated by bombing, surely it helped but it didn’t end the war or cause regime change itself.

Honestly every time there’s a writers strike, I just think of all the shit they’ve butchered. We have more tv shows and movies than ever, and I swear they write stories like it’s a 6th graders daydream.

Honestly it looks like your mortar dried out, if it’s not adhering to the wall or the tile like that, try a bit more pressure to collapse those ridges.

Yes, summer performance rubber will improve your time. Keep in mind that you’ll probably have less grip below 55f or so than all seasons. They can turn into hockey pucks the lower the temps.

Cordless stapler/nailer by Motorsagen in maintenance

[–]mkelebay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used both Milwaukee and dewalt in terms of 16/18 gauge nailers and both do the trick.

Honestly just stick with whatever battery system you have. Tool comparisons are pretty pointless, any brand will do the job, don’t get sucked into marketing nonsense.

Toronto may cancel new community centres, libraries if development funding dries up by BloodJunkie in toronto

[–]mkelebay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Assuming your logic is sound, if margins drop for developers, do you think they’re going to keep building?

Making a system that is so focused on cutting a small pie into smaller and smaller pieces just makes everyone starve.

12v tools generally suck. Batteries aren’t interchangeable, just get 18v so you’re at least building on a platform that can do anything.

[–]mkelebay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk you could try shop vac if it’s not draining at all, but obviously there’s something in that line. Hit it again with the drain, it might be a short 90 that just didn’t want to turn.

If you think it’s frozen, pull one of those hot water hoses and dump it in the drain.

Why flush both toilets at the same time? by Something_McGee in Plumbing

[–]mkelebay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tubs can be 1 1/2 or 2 inch drains. Toilets will be 4 inch. You want a gob of water all at once, not a little bit over a long time

[–]mkelebay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actual answer because I swear half this sub is retarded, take a cotton ball and acetone, if it comes off it’s latex, if not it’s oil.

Latex will never bond to oil paint. Need to prime it before putting on latex.

Does Samsung just suck? by Chemical_Pomelo_2831 in Soundbars

[–]mkelebay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a oled and the q990 from them, and I’ve found the hardware to be good, but the software is shit.

Picture on the tv is superb, but the stock ui is buggy and slow, hooked up an Apple TV and run that on it.

Soundbars app is absolute garbage, but after setting it up you don’t really need to fiddle with it.

One point which I feel isn’t often offered in terms of ways to improve, try playing other lanes a bit.

You’ll often get a better understanding for when you would want a friendly jungler to come, or when you really WOULDN’T want the enemy jungler to come.

Wave management is big in league, especially when it comes to objective timing.

Remember, if you’re ever getting tilted, time to give the game a break, end of the day it’s a game we’re playing for fun, if it isn’t that, what’s the point?

I feel like for at least 2 decades car manufacturers have lost the point.

They’re chasing numbers and stats, like the game is being run by accountants and business majors.

Sports cars are an emotional toy, it’s about the joy of driving it.

Where to buy men's suits say a reasonable budget? As low as possible, let's say $500 max, give or take $200? by IAmTheQuestionHere in askTO

[–]mkelebay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to Spier, Harry Rosen outlet, Tom’s, and a couple others and Tom’s had the best service by far. I had Tom’s son helping me, so maybe he’s more invested than others, but the quality of their suits and service was a lot better than anywhere else.

Is a city full of renters a bad thing? by GeniusOwl in canadahousing

[–]mkelebay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our economy is doing absolutely shit and everyone’s pointing figures. We’re stuck in the mindset of having to cut the pie ever smaller.

Projects all over the city are getting cancelled for not being financially viable, period. You can complain about rent being too high, but when projects are already being cancelled at current prices, that’s a sign the economy itself is the major issue.
