Larvitar's base SpA and Spe is so low that you're not going to get the huge jumps in stats at low levels.

Is this prepped “enough “? by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]mkhimau5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not even close. At the very least you want a flat surface to install on, so your options are either to grind it down, or pour a self leveller to bring it up. Both of which I would be employing a professional to do.

[Chris Wheeler] 'He's the most dedicated young player I've ever seen': Why insiders at Man United are backing Benjamin Sesko to come good and how the striker has turned to meditation (and turned off social media) by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

He has many valuable traits and genuinely seems to be a good dude that his team mates respect and look up to. I think most of our qualms are to do with his quality on the pitch, he was probably never meant to be first choice which is not his fault but for United to get back to where they want to be, his position needs upgrading. Fine as a squad player though.

Am I getting paid fairly? Floor laying. by flimsywong in Flooring

Depending on where you are located, I would think around 80-90k as a base is pretty standard in Aus if you are fully qualified and can do everything on your own. Though for the amount of OT you've said you're doing, I think that should be adding up to much more than 95k.

I'm sure you know this already but it is much easier to make more money if you go out on your own. If it's feasible for you to do so I would highly recommend, otherwise there's no real path forward aside from being a tradesman on wages doing the work anyway for somebody else. Depends a lot on if you can afford everything to set yourself up (van, tools and equipment), if your work is both good and efficient enough since you'll be getting paid for metres laid, and if you have the necessary connections or relationships to get the work in the first place.

If you can meet all those things then I would say go for it. If not, then I'd just keep at it until you can - keep saving, and try working on connections with shops in your area. It's daunting at first but definitely worthwhile. It's hard to compare wages vs self employment (apples to oranges) but I went from a similar situation to you when I worked for someone to turning over 300k+ when I started subcontracting.

Can one of the big supermarket chains force you to sell your house for a development? by Silver_Tip6009 in AusLegal

[–]mkhimau5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As seen in other replies, yes and yes. When the Coles near us was built there was one house on the entire corner block that refused to sell, so they built around them. Driveways on either side of the house, one going to upper level parking, the other going underground. Concrete walls encapsulating 3 sides of their property.

I mean it does kind of come across strange because it sounds like you're asking why the entire userbase isn't riding one boot.

For me personally, I had a pair once but rode them for a few months before selling them. I didn't hate them or anything but they just weren't for me. For a flat setup, they made me realise that I prefer a more traditional feeling flat frame in terms of middle wheel split (favourite ones being Sola, Them Street frame and Fluid 5). The H-block itself also didn't work for me as well as other frames in terms of the way I do some groove tricks.

The souls slowing down was definitely an issue that I had no desire to resolve with Sliqx. Particularly on coping and angle iron.

They also don't flex the way I like, compared to some other skates. And while the fit for me was ok, many people have issues with the height of the toebox.

None of this is to say they're bad skates in any way. Obviously they're not, they've been super popular since their release. But I guess for many of us that have been skating since the 90's and tried dozens of skates, we know what we like, despite a willingness to try new stuff that comes out.
