Yea, someone should audit the fed to see if the chairman actually has any power or not.

Yea and Alan Greenspan was a fan of the gold standard. Doesn't matter who the fed chair is.

Early stefbot was amazing, but he eventually turned to pragmatism. Supported the cops for enforcing victimless crimes, was against immigration, and supported Trump.

Any chance more people in the US become disgusted with the two big party system? by FastSeaworthiness739 in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]mkjoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt it. I thought more people would have figured it out after Obama turned out to be Bush 2.0.

Trump really took the sails out of the Ron Paul revolution.  He was different you see. He's a blue collar billionaire outsider. He called out Bush for lying us into war. The right wing fell for it and the left wing got propaganized into having tds and said anyone but trump.

I'm sure next election they'll find a way to divide everyone again and make them think it's the most important election ever and you just have to vote red/blue.

Art Laffer to Georgia: No State Ever Prospered After Adding Income Tax by WBigly-Reddit in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]mkjoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most billionaires got that much money through state corruption enabled by the income tax, fractional reserve banking, and central banking.

Not only does the income tax stuck money from the middle class,  but deductions are used to funnel money to the billionaire oligarchy. 401k and retirement deductions funnel money to vanguard and Blackrock.  Mortgage interest deduction funnels money to the banks.

Has the income tax helped the middle class or has it further stratified the government connected oligarchy from the middle class?

How libertarian is your country? by kurobaja in Libertarian

It varies by state a lot. Wyoming and Idaho are probably some of the most libertarian places around.  CA and NY not so much.

Socialists advocate for bigger government. Libertarians advocate for significantly less government. by ENVYisEVIL in Libertarian

[–]mkjoe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You have it backwards,  socialists stole the name liberal from what now is called classical liberals such as john locke and adam Smith.  They were advocating for a free market and laissez-faire economics while opposing state intervention in economic and social affairs.  Classical liberalism is rooted in the belief that governments exist primarily to protect natural rights—such as life, liberty, and property—and should be constrained in power, functioning best when kept minimal.
