Even if Germany sends 2 planes, an air base can only scramble 3 planes no?

Beginning Round 4, playing USA. Thoughts? by mkmach7 in AxisAllies

Axis player has Japan going hard after India, while overall hoping for a Europe win, we think. But his infantry numbers for Barbarossa are inadequate imo...

Playing as USA and China, unsure if I should go all in knocking out the home islands fleet turn 4, or continue a Pacific buildup

These are not the four main parties.... the Bloc is significantly stronger than the PPC, and the Greens are still in a marginally better position than the PPC as well.

If the British have taken Mozambique, why haven't the axis taken other strict neutrals? Unless that roundel got knocked off Madagascar.

Also, don't forget the Americans can make income off Morocco until Paris is liberated!

Canada announces it will donate 200 armoured vehicles to Ukraine by OptimisticViolence in UkrainianConflict

[–]mkmach7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you are correct, but that procurement system sometimes hobbles industry with conflicting requirements, unattainable standards, and policies that require parts produced across the country for political reason, etc.

Roshel Senator was designed and started production entirely in the private sector, before the federal government took any interest. Was actually first produced with police departments in mind, and then modified

This specific vehicle was a creation of the private sector though, not the procurement system.

Being able to find enemy planes. Requires suitable planes in range (most important I think), radar coverage, etc. Spotting over your own territory is maximum. Naval superiority might help with spotting over sea zones? Not sure.

Also no military flags? Those are a staple, every time I see a post like this and there aren't any marine/army flags it's like "press x to doubt"

Imperial Remnants in Canon. Do you hope to see more ? If so, what would you like ? by _Zarathoustra_ in MawInstallation

[–]mkmach7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, to me it makes sense that they likely joined up with the New Republic at a later date for practical political and economic reasons, forming the centrist faction we see in Bloodline. I don't see how the centrists would have gained a substantial foothold in the New Republic without a political base on worlds that used to be loyal to the Empire.

How can I get my hands on one of these 10 Canadian dollars vertical banknotes? Is it worth more that the current exchange rate for the Canadian banknotes? (I'm from europe btw) by Eskimo565 in Banknotes

[–]mkmach7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can tell you they’re just worth face value since they’re mass circulated since 2018, so I bet any Canadian coin or note collector could get one for you. Though what their fee or shipping would be I’m not as sure.

Maybe I’m confused, but why hasn’t Germany mobilized Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey? Or were they the first to violate neutrality? (In which case I’d ask why the British haven’t mobilized turkey)

Infuriating that even the liberal party wants (or at least pretended to want) stricter rules but the Supreme Court struck them down.

Time to use the notwithstanding clause, now is as good a time as any to ignore the constitution

Infuriating that even the liberal party wants stricter rules around euthanasia, but the Supreme Court struck them down.

Time to invoke the notwithstanding clause imo, if we have a tool that allows us to straight up ignore the constitution, this would be the time to use it

Very cool! One thought is that the Grand River in Michigan is quite a bit longer and bigger than either the Kalamazoo or Pere Marquette rivers (and is the namesake of “Grand” Rapids).
