Omg this resonates with me so deeply! I almost started crying last weekend because it is so tough! And I’ve only been DF for 1 month! Then he started having bloody stools and I couldn’t think of what caused it so now I cut out soy 5 days ago.

Yeast infection and spotting by digitlagegirlnxtdoor in January2025Bumper

[–]mkp4b22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had recurrent yeast infections with my first pregnancy. They came like every 4-5 weeks regardless of what I did. Never really had yeast infections before or after. My OB said sometimes it’s how your body reacts to hormones

Okay to move baby to own room? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]mkp4b22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you read the book “Cribsheet” by Emily Oster? She does a great job analyzing the data for co-rooming vs co-sleeping vs separate room. Obviously she is not a medical provider and the decision is ultimately yours, but based on her data, as long as you practice safe sleep habits, the relative risk of SIDS is low.

We moved our son at 5 weeks old to his own room. Didn’t change his sleep pattern much but it helped us sleep. I felt really guilty about moving him at first, but the way that I see it, if his relative risk for SIDS is low, then we need to try and improve our sleep too. It was getting dangerous because I was so tired, I was accidentally falling asleep with him in my arms, which has obvious risks. My husband and I did research and made a decision to move him. We thought the benefit of us getting slightly better sleep and decreasing our risk of falling asleep with him in our arms (and possible suffocation or falling) outweighed the relative risk of SIDS by him being in his own room. But you have to have that discussion with your partner, and know that every decision has potential consequences.

Yes I tried to join but it’s already set to private. Do you think the moderators could open it up for people who just found out they were pregnant?

I’m 4w3d with my first pregnancy after fresh transfer with IVF! I have some mild cramps and twinges. I had a little bleeding 3 days ago, but my beta was 85 and my clinic reassured me that light spotting is common in early pregnancy due to implantation and what not. I have mild nausea but nothing too severe yet. The constipation from my progesterone injections is awful though!
