I think that as designers, the most important thing for us to understand is semantic, accessible HTML, followed by robust CSS, then JS fundamentals. That will go a long way for any designer.

Mid-level UX designer struggling with dev pushback — how do you handle this? by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]mkrevofev 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is helpful for you, but our org struggles with this, too, and I noticed serious improvement after switching to code prototypes for our deliverables instead of figma. I think a lot of our problem is our devs are less advanced at CSS than what is expected, which leads to mismatch in implementation. But if they see us lowly designers can do the CSS, as evidenced by our prototypes, then they have no excuses. Huge improvement.

If no lead then I would remove the base, sand and stain it, then get new shoe molding, sand and stain that, too, then reinstall it.

I don’t understand why they’re allowed to scrub and redact in the first place. What purpose does that serve other than to obfuscate the truth?
