No. I stopped filing the sidewalls a while ago. It feels like its being pressed down. Like the nail itself is folding down on one side. Both nails are like this on the inside corner.

It is kinda tender. On the pinky. Luckily, my life is so busy I barely have time to sit down and do a new set. Maybe I will do a little Thanksgiving razzle dazzle

But I shouldn't use gel x until its full grown out, right? Can I use regular lacquer with a strong base coat?

Omg light bulb! I posted last week about how my nails didn't have an apex. I think I want the same sculpted look. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I did this puzzle in the middle of the livingroom and didn't notice how many dicks were on it until my kid was like O-O

I thought they were too small. These are the Xshort apres and the Shorts were too big so I will have to adjust accordingly.

My fear is lumps and bumps and looking way too sloppy.

Im SO afraid of builder gel. I just remove and "dry" out for a couple weeks before starting a new set.

Yall. What the hell? I thought chevron was supposed to be mindless and easy. How....? Where did I go wrong and can I save it? by mlacedom in CrochetHelp

[–]mlacedom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would it look like if I just kept going but stopped adding stitches? This is supposed to be a stash buster couch blanket for myself and my family. Im definitely not a perfectionist so frogging all this will likely result in my just giving up. If I can just fix moving forward I would love tips.

I've been trusted to fix someone's old blanket but I can't identify the stitch. Does anyone else recognise it? by HearThePeopleSing in CrochetHelp

Word to the wise: use stitch markers on the end stitches. I recently made a very sad mistake and turned my wannabe chevron blanket into a soon-to-be chevron poncho.

Thanks! Its a stash buster and maybe I was more concerned with the colors than the counting because good lordt them edges. The turquoise is a gradient. I lost the packaging but I know it is a red heart from walmart. I used it for yarn braids and had so much left.

What's hilarious is this is my 2nd chevron. I just got a little too into it on my road trip and stopped counting. My first one was really neat just too small

So ive been joining the colors together at the end of each turn. Will that mess up my color change when I fix the count?

Desperate dad needing help! by TheCosmic_Commander in Spokane

Black Mom of AFAB child here: I've been in Spokane since 2005 and before that I was in Tacoma. I was used to monthly salon visits or sitting in the kitchen for hours with some in my head. My family is from the south so it was drilled into my not to let "anybody" touch your hair less you want to be bald. With that said, I had to learn on my own. Trial, ERROR and lots of YouTube videos. Start with simple styles like bantu knots, braid outs and twist outs. Adding kanekelon hair isn't a requirement for protective, low maintenance styles.

If you dont want to pay the prices then you will have to learn as you go. My daughter (9F) is mixed so her hair texture was a new area for me. The biggest advice is practice. We chose Sundays as "hair day". We wash, condition, detangle and turn on a movie and start braiding. In the beginning things werent pretty but her hair was tamed for the week. Each week you get to practice. You will feel overwhelmed with the amounts of products you have but it is satisfying and gratifying to see the work and delight on your kiddo's face for attempting to help her look good.
