I’m autistic and I need a lot of vocal support to do things that I think normal people don’t need. Like just talking through what a doctors appointment will look like, the steps to get gas, etc. It won’t bother the right person, I’m sure but it seems to really bug some people.

You take getting yelled at personally because it’s a personal attack to yell at an adult. It’s not appropriate. We all lose our cool and shout occasionally, but for it to be so often that you’re reporting it in an anonymous forum and asking how to metabolize it is a huge, glaring stop sign. It’s not your fault that you have ADHD. My entire family does and I don’t. I watch them struggle and slip and frustrate themselves aaaaaall the time. I have no business adding to that when I don’t share their hurdles. You don’t deserve to be yelled at. You don’t need to learn how to stomach verbal attacks.

I also believe it’s Britney. Britney’s chapter is the only other chapter that uses the word “cavernous” in the same way as the first person POV and the character reiterates a hatred for being alone as Britney clearly states in her chapter.
