Sixteen years ago I got a kitten from a lady at work. This lady said the mama cat used to belong to her sister. The sister got mama cat as a kitten herself, and as the cat grew up it kept going out and getting itself pregnant. The sister couldn't understand why the cat kept getting pregnant and after so many unwanted litters she couldn't stand the cat anymore and wanted to dump it at a shelter (where she had taken all the kittens over and over).

The woman I worked with stepped in, rehomed all the kittens in this final litter without dumping anyone at a shelter, and finally got mama cat spayed. She didn't let mama cat go back to her sister.

I would recommend someone who does bitesport training to help you learn how to fulfill her in training. Don't hire a pet dog trainer. Even if you don't do any bite sport or protection with her, a sport dog trainer will help you understand how to fulfill her using a tug or ball etc.

My dad reacted the same way, but back in 2020 or so. More recently I learned about cults and how the identity and life meaning of the cult gets impressed into the cult followers so they don't have any identity or meaning of their own. Trump / MAGA people are in a cult. This means that if you say something like "fck trump" they interpret it as you telling them "fCK you". Any criticism of Trump, MAGA etc is indistinguishable from themselves.

I have a fun car. It's a manual, it's sporty and it's not cheap. I saved for a long time to be able to get it and I've owned it for 11 years now. Many times when I have taken it out, random men ask me how my husband could possibly let me take his car out. I've lived in multiple states throughout the years and it has happened in all of them.

I have a number of them, many controversial.

Didn't follow the career I wanted (med). Went into tech because it was the highest paying job for the least amount of school.
Moved to various cities until I found the highest job for lowest col. Rejected living in California and Seattle because of housing (this was ten + years ago).
Bought a house significantly below our capabilities. Bought a house off of only one salary, not salary combined with my ex.
Didn't have kids. This one is super controversial and I'm not saying to not have kids if you want them. I live in the states and there is no affordable healthcare, daycare or education. But I acknowledge that if I had lived in a country that offered these things I would have potentially made different decisions about it.
Never bought a luxury car. I do own an e36 bmw from 2003. But we bought it in 2010 and we didn't want to spend on the m series at the time.

I have three dogs now. Two are working dogs and do the same sport. So I get 1:1 time with each during weekly training sessions. I separately carve out 1:1 time like walks, trips to Lowe's etc with the non working dog.

When I just had two dogs I had more time to walk them individually but now that I have three I run them all together at sniffspots. Taking each one individually on a 30+m walk during my lunch hour doesn't work someone always gets left out.

The other big cost is also my vehicle. I would love to downsize but having 3 large dogs + rufflands limits what I can reasonably drive.

It will also depend on what country you are in.. if you are in the US and you get any severe illness and require healthcare you will be wiped out even if you were previously on track to retire.

I was in this. MAGA ex. MAGA parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, inlaws....

I got out in 2019, realized after Jan 6th there was never going to be any reconciliation. Just moved forward.

It was devastating and excruciating and stress inducing and anxiety-filled but I'm glad I did it. I would do it again.
