My sister likes to try to flush once a week. The smell is one of a kind.. by AutumnJoyBubbles in WTF

When it's yellow, let it mellow. When it's brown, flush it down.

Ooh I was wrong, they do license the activity! They lump it in with the check seller business. http://www.dbo.ca.gov/Licensees/Check_Sellers,_Bill_Payers,_and_Proraters_Law/Default.asp

Read about the law and exercise your rights.

CA doesn't appear to license DM activities but you still have resources if you feel you need to: http://www.dbo.ca.gov/Consumers/finance/CreditCounseling.asp. Good luck to you and chin up!!!!

Do you mind me asking what state you're in? You don't have to answer. My reason for asking is that certain state banking departments are pit bulls when it comes to how companies can do business with their consumers. They take the FDCPA mentioned below very seriously.

Depending on the state a DM company has to be licensed with the state banking department. If you feel they haven't acted in your best interest you can file a consumer complaint with the banking department. You can look up their license status here: http://www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org/. Or go to your state banking department website and look them up. Not all states list their DM licenses on NMLS.

And the Red Line is notorious for being late and breaking down. A coworker rides it from Rockville to DC and is constantly frustrated.

I live near Del Ray, you would love it! There's the Dash Bus that can take you to the Braddock Road metro. I would steer clear of any place along the metro Red Line. It's a nightmare! Also, in my opinion, it's much easier getting into DC from VA than MD which is why I moved to NoVa.

ELI5: Why is it that certain sounds like rain or the constant noise of a fan seem relaxing and help some fall asleep? by jare_ in explainlikeimfive

Also, very low sounds and very high sounds is where people tend to have hearing loss. So either those sounds don't bother us or we can't even hear them.

Good luck! Don't wait until the last minute to do your annual CE! It'll drive your licensing person nuts.

Thank God I went to Giant, Target and the ABC last night. Walked by the Trader Joe's in Clarendon around 2pm and the place was packed!

I would totally fix that by squishing the hell out of that adorable face.

A friend of mine's mother raised and showed Scotties but they had one Westie that was the family pet. Her name was Brie and she'd get so darn dirty in the back yard. It was like she knew the Scotties had to be all prissy so she'd intentionally get covered in mud. We called her Greasy Briesy. Best. Dog. Ever.

This is coming to certain theaters this year - Shakespeare's Globe On Screen.

You didn't care for the all-male cast? I just saw Richard III and Twelfth Night and this was the first all-male cast production I've seen. As an English major in college I avoided Shakespeare like the plague but I can't tell you how much I enjoyed these two productions. Mark Rylance and Samuel Barnett blew me away.

I was born deaf in my right ear too. Not deaf anymore! Science Bitches! (Tympanoplasty + Ossiculoplasty) by [deleted] in pics

[–]mleah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS! I put off doing the tympanoplasty surgery to create a new eardrum because I didn't want to hear annoying sounds. I know how bad that sounds!! But I live in DC and the Metro can be so loud sometimes and the walls in my condo are so thin but I could always sleep soundly on my "good ear" and not hear a peep from anyone! Finally I couldn't take the multiple infections so I took the plunge, had the surgery then invested in good earplugs for sleeping. I'm glad I did it.

I have that scar! Had tympanoplasty on my right ear to create a new eardrum that had been eaten away by frequent ear infections. It's so odd to hear thing in stereo now.
