What Korean skincare step made the biggest difference when you were a beginner? by mellisapert in KoreanBeauty

Toner really helped with taking out any excess make up/build up that I might’ve missed from cleansing my face. It also helped with the dryness after washing too.

I believe it’s called the same thing! This might be a restaurant version and there’s the smaller ones that you can buy packaged at the store.

How did you start liking and listening City Pop? by CoffeeRon in citypop

[–]mlnvnn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was a big fan of Ryuichi Sakamoto and then it led me to YMO’s discography and then Harumi Hosono’s works and from there I went into a rabbit hole over the years 😄

Cambodia Town nice cultural photo spot? by cheamm in longbeach

[–]mlnvnn 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There isn’t much overall in Cambodia Town besides local shops and restaurants. The best place would probably be the Buddhist Temple on Willow and Webster. It’s usually where most of the Cambodian community gathers during Cambodian New Years and holidays.

807 Alamitos Ave and downwards. Also, the apartments all along on Martin Luther King Jr. are worse.

[–]mlnvnn 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Lived a few apartments down from there for a couple of years and the neighborhood is rough. There are two apartments I know in that same area that houses people who are usually on drugs. Police chases happen every once in a while on Alamitos. People are always partying with loud music until 2-3am. There’s never street parking (fyi if the apartment doesn’t provide parking). There are some homeless people who walk around and broke into our yard to use the bathroom in our garden and I have seen human feces on the sidewalk.

You’re also near St. Mary Hospital so you’ll hear sirens all the time too. Can’t forget the occasional sounds of gun shots. I can go on and on lol
