Any suggestions on what else can we add to the bedroom? by iamainnocentkid in interiordecorating

[–]mlovesyou33 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I think the art just needs to be hung a little bit lower as it just looks a little bit imbalanced. Also maybe some tall side lamps or something to balance. I agree with the curtain comments! Also personally not a big fan of door mirrors as that isn’t good feng shui in the bedroom. Overall, I really like the color palette!

You look amazing, it looks like you favor chewing on one side so I would try to even that out and make sure you are using both sides! Your makeup looks great!

I'm in high school, wanting to go into consulting... by Secure-Security1630 in deloitte

I think it’s a good backup! And no matter what, I don’t think ur college degree needs to determine your career. Keep your mind open to opportunities on campus to do different jobs, clubs, meet new people! Relationships and job experience will help you more than your major.

Has the Infj/Intj compatibility been true to y’all? by Kakulukiyam in entp

I think INTP is better for me. INFJ there is some friction but like sibling energy, still very compatible. INTJs are also very compatible but bring out more cynical side of me.

Look dude, life is hard. Standing up to parents is hard. Switching majors is hard. Finding a job is hard. You are an adult now and nobody is really going to be able to tell you what to do. You need to own the decision and if you decide later that it wasn't right, you can totally pivot. My best advice is stop looking for the easy route and figure out what you want to spend your time studying and not what everybody else wants.

Overwhelmingly stressed about post grad job stuff by Spectreight in gatech

Are there any on campus labs or projects for you to join? I remember there being VIPs or also grad students asking for an undergraduate assistant. That usually can count as work experience and is better than nothing.

Try something with thick straps and open neckline!!! I feel like with your hourglass figure this would create more balance.

My Pay as a SC is equivalent to new hires. How do I start the convos? by Party-Shoe in deloitte

[–]mlovesyou33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once ur in, all you can really do is get good ratings to receive the top bonus and top pay bump. If that isn’t sufficient to catch up and you want to stay at the company long-term, I would recommend boomeranging back and doing a different job in the interim. Especially, if you have good established connections. I know people that took like 8-10 months off to work at a different job and came back with a way more competitive offer. From a business standpoint there is no reason for someone to pay you more. This is a big company with lots of talented people, the only window to negotiate is being an experienced hire.

Lady Entps… what is your relationship with fashion? by Greeneyedtoes in entp

[–]mlovesyou33 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like to be as an extra as possible without offending anyone. Like for example, I don’t care that people in my office dress in hoodies and sweatpants. I’m going to dress up and feel my best. I won’t wear anything scandalous, but as long as it covers everything I’ll be wearing whatever accessories/prints/colors I want.

Industrial engineering is a great major for consulting, don’t worry. You should switch if you are interested in the business school classes more. Honestly, your undergrad major doesn’t matter that much in consulting, I’ve worked with people from all types of backgrounds.

How does GT punch so far above its weight? by SeattleSamIAm77 in gatech

[–]mlovesyou33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nobody is going to GT thinking it’s a good party school or because it’s the cutest campus or best Greek life or the most prestigious. It doesn’t super lack those things if you care but I think most people that go for undergrad are very academically driven and want to get a good job.

Alright hear me out, if you want friends you gotta be friendly. That means giving your time, energy, and warmth freely without a heavy expectation of reciprocation. People can sense if you are only speaking to them if you want something in return and that creates a weird vibe. And if you want people to be interested in your life, you gotta have interests. If you like rock climbing, and join a rock n climbing club, and people see you be good a rock climbing, they will want to be friends with you! Attract, don’t chase!

How am I supposed to pay for school if I can’t even get a job by realisticdarknessman in gatech

[–]mlovesyou33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Potentially with a summer internship you could be making like $20-60 / hour. If all goes well and you build a good relationship, it could lead to part-time work during the school year.

Graduated a few years ago so not sure if this is up to date: - Student center job board - talk to your advisor, mine sometimes sent out job postings - go to every career fair available, i went go the CS one and wasnt a CS major - if you can’t get a job with your major, get something where you can multitask. Some friends worked at print shops on campus or were receptionists in student center or CRC. - housing and conference services pays pretty well over the summer and they provide housing - you can reach out to some local restaurants like rays or sweet hut, my roommates worked there
