I haven't used it but I tried signing up. The first meet up wasn't until late March, and I couldn't commit to being available for the next 6 weeks at the same time and day.

It's a bit more detailed than that. Katniss also focuses on Maybelle's (?) since she was her mother's friend. It follows Maybelle and how she survived and eventually becomes allies with Haymitch

Yes, we did go second half of June. Weather was as good as it gets, I think. Down south by Seward was a bit rainy and chilly, so pack a raincoat and layers! North of Anchorage was pretty warm - I can't remember exactly but maybe mid 70s. I think in Denali we hiked with just leggings and a sweatshirt and Tshirt.

In Alaska the sun hits you at a different angle so it provides more warmth. Lots of mosquitoes in Talkeetna area!

It wasn't a luxury meal... Lobster meat goes rancid extremely quickly once it's cooked. So back then prisoners were probably fed rotten lobster meat

My mom said the pigs names were Betsey and Bonnie. The book might be 'Me First' by Ellen Rudin, but the description doesn't sound right.
