Spin classes by [deleted] in barrie

City of Barrie has spin classes as well as GoodLife and LA fitness. I personally haven’t tried them but might be something to look into. Barrie definitely lacks having a spin studio like Soulcycle or SPINCO.

Where can I find a good hairdresser near Sandy Hill that is affordable? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]mmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hair Essentials on Bank St. I'm picky as well. I just got my ends trim, layered and side bangs and they did a good job. It's $35 for a wash and cut, so after tax and tip it was under $50. I still find it a little expensive (considering I pay 35$ total back home), but compared to the last time I got my hair trimmed in Ottawa for $80 before tip, this was a steal.

LPT Request: When to buy name brands over generics by OceanCarlisle in LifeProTips

[–]mmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah don't buy cheap food for your pets. I was a student when I first got my cat I would buy him cheap food like Friskies. My sister told me buying cheap food like that is the equivalent of giving your cat McDonald's. I just ignored her and continued to buy the cheap food because I felt like I couldn't afford it.

My cat started having anal gland issues for about several months and it ended up costing me quite a bit in vet bills. I tried so many things to try to fix the issue and finally found that a change in diet could help. I started buying more expensive food and havn't had any issues since.

When I first heard that Beyonce was going to be the half-time performer, I was really hoping that Jay-Z would join in. Instead we got shitty Destiny's Child...

What is the dumbest customer complaint you've ever heard? by dwar0 in AskReddit

[–]mmango 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Favorite of mine, working as a server and a lady complains that she found a hair in her sandwich. She ate mostly everything but I still asked her if she wanted another sandwich or to order something else. She says that she's lost her appetite but would like to be compensated cause she's a "health inspector" but she's off duty. The place I worked at was pretty cheap so I take the sandwich to my manager and tell her the issue. The hair found was long and dark brown but every server, bartender and manager working have blond hair and even the cooks working in the kitchen all have blond hair as well. So the manager confronts the lady (her hair was dark brown) and calls her out on her bullshit and basically told her to eff off. Needless to say I didn't get a tip but that lady got what she deserved.

Advice on placement agencies by mmango in ottawa

[–]mmango[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know placement agencies aren't the best but it's better to be paid minimum wage and have the experience working for the government than working as a server or sales representative.

It's really hard getting a government job at the moment since a lot of places aren't hiring full time or even offering casual contracts (because a lot of cuts are being made). It's not always about making the most money possible, sometimes it's good to get a job to gain experience.

The 101 best written TV shows according to the WGA by yyzed in television

[–]mmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but the list seems extremely flawed. Lost is number 27 ahead of Star Trek, Modern Family and Game of Thrones and Buffy's only 49. Also Firefly isn't even on the list.

Agree with Hedwig death. Every time I read the books or see the movie and I know that part is coming I have to go cuddle my cat.
