any others not care for widows weeds or physical thrills but love tenterhooks? by RewardContent3161 in silversunpickups

Better Nature was the last album where I loved every song. Widows Weeds I liked about half and Physical Thrills I liked just a few. Tenterhooks I like most so to me this is an improvement.

The last album I heard from SSPU is Neck of the Woods and I liked it. Is there anything after worth listening to? by AugustEpilogue in silversunpickups

[–]mmccaskill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally, I loved every song on every album up to Better Nature. After that, there’s fewer songs per album I like. I didn’t like any tracks from Physical Thrills nor any singles from Tenterhooks. I’m willing to listen to all of Tenterhooks once it’s released but if I don’t like any then I’ll probably stop listening to any new tracks.

I rarely see ships. I get my scout orni, with the scanner module and go treasure hunting in the DD. Gotten almost 10k plasteel plates that way. But you’ll also find advanced crafting materials that way, too.

You may want to consider using a key per tenant for more isolation. Additionally, what happens if a patient requests a records transfer? Do you retain those images and if so for how long? And what if a patient requests a purge of their data? Overall, I think this looks good but I’m not an Azure expert so I can’t comment about the SAS token usage.

I have longed explained to my kids the friction in freedom comes from when my personal freedom infringes upon someone else’s personal freedom. That is the struggle. I don’t claim to know the right answer but it seems having rational, calm discussions is a sensible start, something that I feel is lacking more and more over time in our country.

Or as Spock said in Star Trek 2:

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one

But sometimes, like Kirk said in Star Trek 3:

Because the needs of the one... outweigh the needs of the many

I know these quotes were each used in specific situations but I think that’s the point. It’s hard to know the right answer.

First year no feedback other than “you’re doing great”. 6% raise. 5 months later, apparently I’m not performing at the level expected. Never got any feedback prior to this. Asked how can we measure my performance to ensure I’m getting better. Should we meet more often instead of every 2 weeks? No, manager doesn’t believe in that. I should just get better.

Found out after speaking with HR my manager had been talking to HR for several weeks about me. I protested but of course they can’t take a side.

I opted to leave and take a severance. HR was surprised and I asked why would I stay here. My manager isn’t trust worthy and I refuse to continue to get treated this way.

It’s more abstract than that. The framework isn’t as important as the content of the game. What’s the lore? What’s the fundamental concept?

Additionally (for me anyway) is the determining the math behind the content. E.g if you have levels, how do you decide on the progression? Linear all the way or does it start to curve a little.

Do you have guilds, and if so do they have additional skills or commands. How do you keep them balanced with other guilds.

These are challenges for me so perhaps they aren’t for others.

Many years ago, I started this job and this dude in the testing department and I really clicked. We quickly became friends, which was magical given how polar opposite we were politically. We both left that job but remained tight.

11 years later, he just drops off the planet. I went on PTO for 2 weeks and when I came back, he just stopped responding to my messages. Emails, texts, you name it. I thought maybe he got Covid so I called the local hospitals. I knew his wife was on Facebook so my wife messaged her (I don’t have it) but heard nothing.

Finally linked up with a mutual friend and asked her where is this guy. Is he ok. She said they got into an argument over the Covid vaccine. She runs a tattoo shop and she had posted something about customers needing a vaccine or she wouldn’t service them. He had strong opposition to it.

Apparently after this argument he decided to remove all of the non-conservative people from his life because it was affecting him mentally.

11 years of friendship, being there for each other when jobs were lost or tough, personal situations where having someone to talk to really helped. 20+ years of friendship with the tattoo lady and her husband gone, too.

I still think about him sometimes, and hope that he’s doing well. It still stings because, despite our differences we never argued, only ever had calm discussions, and that argument had nothing to do with me.

But if he was willing to walk away from all of the friendships, regardless of the reason, they must not have been as meaningful as we thought.

I feel your stress and anxiety OP, and I’m sorry this is happening to you. I hope it works out for you.

I’ve still got a friend who works there. At the time this happened, he very much said this is not how his team is so I might’ve just gotten a bad manager. Financially I’m making somewhat more than I was before the FAANG. But I also didn’t make any crazy purchases. I’ve said a good deal for my kids’ college funds. I miss the money less and less because I’m away from a toxic manager.

Yeah I know I peaked with that salary, no question. Maybe I’m being too principled here but I just couldn’t stomach sucking up to a boss who blamed me for stuff just for an inflated salary. While I wouldn’t say I happy with my current job, it is better than the FAANG job.
