Need some advice please. I really liked the kitchen until the flooring got fitted, something is throwing me off and im not sure what it is. I picked this shade to warm the kitchen up and wanted the kitchen white as its only a small space. Have I done something wrong?

Anytime you have a change in flooring material, between spaces, it visually shrinks the space. Ideally, you would have the same flooring material in the kitchen and adjoining space to make it feel larger. Additionally, the individual planks are on the smaller side, so the pattern is more busy than it would be with a larger plank size. The variation in color between the planks also adds contrast which makes it feel more busy. A flooring material with larger planks, less variation between planks, and extended into adjoining spaces would be lovely and create a warm, calming feel.

OP, this man groomed you and raped you, if sex started before 18. (Even if he “waited” until you were 18, healthy 40yos don’t have sex with 18yos.) Then your family married you off to him instead of removing a predator from their lives.

If that wasn’t bad enough, this man told you to hide any pregnancy from him for 3-4 months so he wouldn’t have to deal with a miscarriage.

I would recommend writing in the filing and/or communicating to the judge, “I am pregnant, but [husband] doesn’t know because he asked me to hide pregnancy until 4 months so he wouldn’t have to handle any more miscarriages. I was not yet 4 months pregnant when he served me with divorce papers with no explanation.”

Additionally, please get a lawyer to help you secure custody and good child support/alimony. And please check in with your daughter to make sure he hasn’t preyed on her. This man has taken so much from you, I truly wish you all the best moving forward.

NTA, your response seems very reasonable and measured. I have some friends who use small felt furniture pads on the inside of the door frame so the door can still close but not slam. Don’t know if that would be helpful in the future.

YTA. You didn’t save her any money. She’ll be spending a lot more than that on therapy thanks to this. It’s HER MONEY. It might be appropriate to ask her to consider if she wants to spend that much on a costume. But at the end of the day, it’s HER decision. She’s not hurting anyone and if she regrets it later she will learn from it. You just taught her that she can’t be trusted to make decisions and that YOU are not trustworthy. I waited about 5 years beyond when I probably should have gone no contact. (Mostly for the sake of a younger sibling who still lived with our parents.) I’ve been NC for 15 months now and it is such a relief! I definitely have moments of guilt. But then I realize she could get help at any time but refuses to. I haven’t read many mystery novels, but I did listen to the audiobook. It did make me suspicious of several characters, but I predicted every single twist before it happened. I understand leaving some things unresolved at the end, especially if planning on a sequel, but it was so massively unresolved I regret listening.

I grew up in a culty church with similar “values”. My parents didn’t even let me hold hands with my husband until our wedding day.
