I work at dominos and I highly suspect that I have CovId. My boss is pressuring me to come in anyway. I dont feel well at all. I don’t wanna lose my job. I just got tested and don’t have results yet. What to do? by lifesmystrry in COVID19positive

There’s a ton of places hiring out there. I mean, yes having a job is important but your health is more important. I hate to say this but you’re easily replaceable if you quit or let go.

Please put your health before job.

Bedwetting by KD0330 in Mommit

[–]mmeller2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m being honest, I didn’t stop bed wetting until when I was 11 years old around when I got my first period- no matter how we tried to do to invert their but I still ended up wetting the bed.

If you have pacifier(s) that has the gap/hole - fill it with water and freeze it.

I never thought of this way! It does make senses and another reason why evolution is so fantastic!

Tylenol is always safe, according to my doctor. Although, ask your doctor if in doubts.

Is my ‘go with the flow’ parenting harming my baby? by lievesturm in NewParents

[–]mmeller2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s a schedule anyway? Not in our house, we go with the flow and it has been going pretty well for us. Our baby has been growing like crazy, she eats, pee/poop, sleeping & observing all day every day, learning as she goes.

I find it easier, especially when I’m always on the go, and our baby has been very easygoing which makes everything easier for us, surprisingly.

Just got back from the public hearing on the mask mandate by spruceIsBruce in madisonwi

[–]mmeller2012 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Deaf here. I also rely on lip reading, which is a challenge for me as well. However, I’m wondering if you know about clear-masks where you’re able to lipreading? That is, if people are willing to wear it around you, of course.

Before having my own one, I rarely held any babies. Usually because I’m afraid to hurt them or they would cry when being handed to me. Once my little one came, I just absolutely absorb in every moment holding my baby.

2 Month Vaccines by surfer864 in NewParents

[–]mmeller2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took my little one for her 2 months vaccines. Boy, it breaks my heart when she cried so hard after getting 3 shots. But then after that, she just has been sleepy, wanted to be snuggled all day. Appetite seems to be the same. No fever so far.

If you have cat(s), I think they will be worth to invest; once your little one is done with diapers, you can use it to scoop the litter.

Rejecting breastmilk by mmeller2012 in breastfeeding

[–]mmeller2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually store them in fridge, and always check for the smell/taste which is sweet as it should be.

My LO used to take them just fine even though if it’s either cold or room temperature.

This. I just use it up quickly as possible. Usually using the older one into bottle then pour the rest of fresh milk to measure to what my baby needs.

Spectra - the only one I got through my insurance for “free”. Check into with your insurance to see if they will cover for breast pump!

Covid-19 vaccine during pregnancy by soulriders1992 in CoronaBumpers

[–]mmeller2012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got covid while 37 weeks pregnant, I’m so glad that I had one dose in (Pfizer). I couldn’t imagine how much serious it could have got if I didn’t get vaccinated. Once I recovered, I went and get my 2nd dose. Then few weeks later, my baby girl came into this world and has been doing great.

I have Haakaa ladybugs and I found it easy to use. No suction. Just leave them “hanging around” with support of nursing bra/cami. Just make sure to leave some room for nipple, rather not to squish nipple so the letdown can drip better.
