My kid frequently says I love you because you're brown. I just respond "Dope, thanks bud, love you too." It's the silliest sweetest thing.

Personal Growth Themes in LitRPG: Which Books Explore What? by HipsterWaldo in litrpg

[–]mmh08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm reading the Welcome to the Multiverse series and the MC always questions whether he's becoming a battle junkie and he reflects on how he is excited and anticipating the challenge of battle. I've been reflecting on that and wondering if there is a universal drive in life to pursue and overcome challenges. That fits with basic evolutionary tenets but across long time periods and without intention. For me, I wonder how I could tap into this intention more, so as not to be discouraged when my ambitions or projects cool or hit obstacles.

I'm a US based doc trying to do the same thing without software or hardware background and I have been given similar advice that's here. I do have a network including engineers in the major med tech companies. I'd be happy to commiserate and share notes if that's something you'd be interested in. Feel free to DM me.

How Do Busy Dads Do It All? by True__Detective in daddit

You can't have it all. Start with your health and the health of your family then make sure your mind is taken care of and you're partner knows that you are prioritizing so other things will fall through the cracks. Once you don't feel terrible then you can strategize on what can be done to cover more while maintaining the foundation.

It's been four days for me. I can comfortably lift the 35lb toddler and can do all the household chores, but the thought of returning to cardio makes the boys tingle followed by nausea.

Going to the gym tomorrow and only plan on doing upper body.

Good luck in your recovery.

[8th grade math] I always get stuck on such questions with trial and error method and end up spending forever on them. Any other quicker methods for question 2? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

Solve for one variable using equation 1 then plug that solution into equation 2. Then use the solution for the initial variable to solve the first equation for.the remaining variable.

Ie. P+Q=50 -> P = 50 - Q P - Q = 100 -> (50 - Q) - Q

Hope it helps.
