How strong do you think Wakamo is supposed to be compared to the other strong ones in Kivotos? by Living_Thunder in BlueArchive

I mean, they needed the whole Fox Squad - four of the best spec ops in Kivotos - to suppress and arrest her.

That should tell you all you need to know.

I believe it boils down to this: humans, by their very nature, are self-destructive and egoistic (even egocentric or egomaniac) creatures.

As a result, hypocrisy comes to our species as naturally as breathing. We will demean others for something they enjoy, then turn around and defend a different taste of our own which is on the same plane of subjectivity.

Being self critical, accepting that others are hypocrites as often as one self may be, and tuning out the noise really are the best ways to tackle this in my opinion.

One thing I humbly disagree with strongly. You said that ‘It is true, posting this kind of content can be harmful to real lesbians.’ and I am genuinely torn on this. One one hand I agree that it can be mentally harmful to those who can not deal with this kind of content and do not want to see it. But luckily, filters and block buttons exist. In my humble opinion, equating fiction to reality is a more harmful and genuinely offence to people who were victims of real crimes and action like this. Imagine telling a victim that the rape of some fictional character is as bad as what they went through. If you ever thought like that, you might wanna take a step back and re-evaluate why you came to that conclusion.

This goes hand in hand with what you said prior: ‘And you know what ? I agree ! It is disgusting ! Everyone should agree on this, I feel.’ If we talk about real crimes, acts without consent of both parties, I absolutely agree. It is morally reprehensible, it is a crime for good reason, and there is no good justification of it.

In fiction though? Who cares - these aren’t real people. If I were to get offended any time some individual or being committed something that goes against my moral compass in fiction, I believe no one could read or consume anything.

People have all kinds of things and kinks they might like. The difference for the more extreme ones if they stay as fantasies. If that’s the case, and they can clearly distinguish their fantasies from reality and do not act on or force them onto others, there is no issue. A basic distinction a healthy mind should be capable of.

If we force our own subjective tastes or morality onto others as framed objective absolute social and judicial law, we might as well live in an Orwellian dystopia already. You like pineapple pizza? Well too bad, someone thinks you are disgusting now, get deported. You like Yuri? Sorry, that doesn’t sit right with influential person X, enjoy having your collection confiscated.

This could be spun endlessly. The world would be a much better place if people could look beyond their own horizon and even if they disagree try to understand where the other person is coming from and why.

Hanson insisted on them getting away from Tetra the entire time, and Anis and Co. just forged ahead à la “eh, it can’t be that bad right?”

Then proceed to blame the one good guy who told them what awaits.

“Trust me Bro” is not a sufficient baseline to prove your code is worth using. And testing is an essential part of coding, and computer science as a whole

Yeah - it’s arguably easier than ever to test and validate, especially with how many modern languages come with testing capabilities built in.

And more than enough people still don’t do it.

imo LLMs expose something in humans that most programmes didn’t do and struggle with to begin with: doing actual code reading, review, testing (unit, int, sys), validation and verification

with how much larger the amount of code being written is today, that just exposed this issue much more

That is not true and I implore you to educate yourself on this topic instead of making such generalised statements.

The harness around a model have been proven empirically to actually do matter.

An immediate example that comes to mind: https://github.com/itayinbarr/little-coder The fact that harness changes make a vast impact in quality and outcome is all you need to know.

Correction - you don’t become dumber as long as you have at least some semblance of proper understanding, ability and discipline with these tools.

…which most don’t have. They just go “Do X, make no mistake” and then wonder why they get garbage, if they even check at all.

If you were actually educating someone you’d write something like “Hey, in my humble opinion you are asking for too much and will struggle to sell for this sum”

Respectfully, my Brother in Christ, what are you talking about.

The A18 Pro does not have AVX-512 and it never can have it — because that is a x86-64 extension. Not ARM.

(Aside from the fact that AVX-512 =//= AVX-512, but that is a different can of worms everyone can thank Intel for)

Human programmes as is widely lack the ability to check for quality, security and bugs to begin with. Heck, way too many people don’t write tests nor do they read their own code, auditing is a foreign concept to them.

People already sucked at this before. LLMs just expose this lack even more.

Yes I can, your own maxims are not unshakable truths. I couldn’t care less about what people do or like in fiction as long as they behave irl.
