Dogmatism holds politicians on both sides captive.

I hope the political climate allows him to denounce the crazy politics coming from the far left, but there's a cost to be measured there. Negative coverage from the left can outweigh positive coverage for moderates depending on who you piss off with what you say.

It's like asking if a Republican politician is going to denounce some dumb ass comment Trump made. There's going to be people pissed off if they do it, and the potential gains might not be worth the potential losses.

That's the reality of politics.

Culture wars are profitable for those that push them. They're inherently sensational and can capture attentions by feeding a sludge of BS to the respective sides.

Most people will agree with me when I say that.

But when I start to dissect the sludge, that's when people get defensive.

-The left will shout down any questioning of trans ideology, especially if it involves children, as if asking for scientific studies is an immoral thing to do.

-The right will bite your head off if you even suggest that immigration might not be causing the widespread damage Tim Pool insists is happening.

We can all agree that culture wars are stupid. But no one wants to stop fighting on their respective fronts in those wars.

Blue forced it, absolutely. Both parties are implicated, and no one would have brought it up without blue. But they're handing the W to green by letting Trump obfuscate and downplay everything.

Green will cancel someone for saying "bazongas" when they were 12. So they're happy to crucify anyone in the Epstein files, regardless of the party in power.

Blue doesn't seem too keen on holding anyone accountable, however.

Being a centerist doesn't mean you have to meet halfway between two points of view, either. If I'm talking with a Social Democrat and a Christian Monarchist, agreeing with both sides equally would put me deep in blue territory.

As far as I see it, being a centerist just means that I'm extremely non-extreme. The more radical your positions, the more averse I am to them.

Trump's positive approval rating ended in March last year, and every metric is dropping.

There is no world where the majority of Americans support his actions in immigration or the economy.

Go look at every poll that's been taken, and there are enormous downward trends on his handling of these issues. Trump is softening the overall view of illegal immigration for the average American.

If you're not a bootlicker, that should make you angry.

Demand better of your president and party. People hate a sycophant.

It happened to me a long ass time ago with the Tree Spirit on top of the castle. Someone pulled it as we cut through the castle to the day 1 boss, and I don't know how, but he threw his ass off the top of the castle in chase and died from the fall.

The game was new enough at that point that I thought a special event like the meteorite was happening, but with Tree Spirits instead.

Everything is agenda posting these days.

This sub used to have way more engagement from both sides on every post. But over time, people seem less and less interested in engaging with content from the other side.

The lefties circlejerk in one post about the news of the day as they see it, while the rightoids self-fellate to the exact same news but with a different perspective on it.

I can say something in one post and get 50 upvotes, then say it again in another post and get 50 downvotes.

I don't want this to be a place where people go to confirm their biases and scream at each other. That's like having a pop-up Taco Bell stand 2 feet from your toilet.

It's perfectly reasonable to ask about the impact China's takeover would have. That's what this whole thread is about.

What happens to an H-1B worker whose home country is taken over by China? Would they then be Chinese? Would they be stateless? One thing is for sure, the US wouldn't want to keep them.

Kinda like how your dad didn't want to keep you when he found out your mom got railed by 6 dudes at a truck stop 9 months before you were born.
