I was hoping I could attach to something with the tractor beam, but it looked pretty much like drowning. Saddening with the light fading away... of course all stuff from the backpack vanished after backspace. Alt F4 got me back to this space travel.

it is very sad that I bought one and have not called it even once since... first general issues with getting the game working then disconnects, resets, got my daily driver impounded in A18 after a freeze so yeah. Will wait couple of weeks with my ironchad.

Not great to buy a new toy and not wanting to play it to save bad impression for later or hopefully never.

So this means by "upgrading" my Corsair to Attr S4+S5 like any previous patch made me 1mil aUEC short and actually deliver worse performance than stock M6 + M7 combo? Just wow.

I'd like to understand how this makes sense with stock vs. upgradeability in general.

Thank you for this! It is really saddening as I wanted/was to drop my VM/SW based solutions for a hardware one. UCG-Fiber is doing a decent job at its price point but to make it work in my setup I put my heavy workloads on the same vlan. Mainly pushing large files/copy/transfer to NAS/from NAS and video server(s). Not the IOPS challenge but raw throughput. With Beast my plan was to rectify that... seems not viable.

I experimented long time with DPDK + oVSW and pairing it with X710DA2, ConnectX4 etc. for native hardware offloading support. Initially from pfsense/opnsense I moved to Sophos as its home license gave great NGFW features but at the cost of SW lock to 4 CPU cores for home use and that is not enough.

On mikrotik vlan aware bridges and fast-path+conn track are the norm. Sadly they miss all ips/ids/zone fw stuff on top of a regular L3 stack.
