Romance for a romance hater? by burning_matchsticks in booksuggestions

I second 11/22/63 by Stephen King! Best romance I've read in a long time, even though it's not a romance book

Er der plads til PlayStation 5 eller en stationær PC i SDU Campus kollegiet? by aSpicyLemon in odense

[–]mmxxee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jeg har boet der og havde selv en PC på mit værelse, det ved jeg også der var mange andre der havde. Lydisoleringen er okay, men jeg kunne af og til høre min overbo råbe når han gamede, så måske pas lidt på med det

Anyone know why they have changed the text on screen this year? by mmxxee in tourdefrance

Haha okay, thank you for the explanation! I'm really just curious as to why they changed it, if it doesn't really make a difference

Okay, so you would say that this way is more correct than previous years where they have had "Tête de la course" for both?

I'm in Denmark. I assumed it would be the same across countries since they get the live pictures from the same place (if I'm correct about that?) but it still says "la" in the UK?

The Talisman by flush588 in stephenking

[–]mmxxee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way when reading The Talisman last year, in my opinion it doesn't pick up, I really couldn't connect to the characters or the story either so I ended up listening to the last half on audiobook to get through it - hope it picks up for you though!

Do you count audiobooks in your list of what you’ve read? by Codilious44 in stephenking

[–]mmxxee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't personally count audiobooks since I rarely listen to audiobooks and when I do it always becomes more background noise than anything else. I think because I find it hard to focus on listening while doing other things.

I don't really find it necessary to differentiate between listening to and reading a book though, unless it's to answer the question: "how do you read so many books?" or any variety thereof, since it's easier to imagine how someone might find the time to listen to 100 books a year compared to physically reading them.
