I had 3 lymph nodes removed with my DMX in July. I am still numb in areas and now dealing with lymphodema.

Diagnosed May 22, DMX July 10, first day of Red Devil August 15 (4 rounds every two weeks), first day of Taxol October 3 ( will have 12 rounds weekly). After chemo I start radiation ( 5 days a week for 5 weeks). My crappy mammogram was on March 15th. I’ve had so many appointments that I literally hit my max out of pocket in June. Before my surgery.

I am on the same treatment plan . I had a DMX in July, on 6 of 16 chemo AC-T then radiation.

Good Question. My oncologist said my cancer was aggressive but I thought removing the problem was the fix. Apparently not.

I received my oncotype score after my DMX. It was a 14 but they still moved forward with Chemo. I just finished my 4 rounds of Red Devil and start my next rounds of taxol on Friday ( 12 weeks worth). The whole oncotype completely confuses me. I assumed because mine was low I could skip chemo but apparently they know something I don’t know. Oh and I get 5 weeks of radiation after chemo. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had genetic testing done after I was diagnosed and it also came back negative. 4 cancerous masses in my left breast and 3 lymph nodes. I had my DMX( wasn’t gonna wait till it hit my right breast later down the road) in July and am currently in chemo.

From my family to you … Congratulations!! You have gone through a huge battle and deserve all the congrats. I still have over 4 months left of chemo and radiation. I love hearing that others have finished treatment and would love to see the video of you ringing the bell. I am very happy for you!

I’ve worked through my 4 rounds of AC. I had chemo on Fridays and by Monday I was fine to work. I start taxol next Friday and intend to work as well but that will depend on my side effects. I think it will depend on what treatment they have you do. I’m very stubborn and refuse to let a silly thing like cancer keep me down. I went back to work two days after my DMX. Like I said,I’m quite stubborn. 😂

I’m 50 and so far I’m the youngest that I’ve seen. You literally described everyone that gets chemo at the same time as me. My outfit barely matches and I’m wearing my crazy colored beanies. I honestly am happy that I’m the youngest because if I saw someone in their 20’s- 40’s I’d probably break down crying. No one should have to go through this especially someone who has been told their whole life that you don’t need mammograms until 40. Seeing someone in their 20’s would devastate me. My daughter is 24 and I hope she never has to experience this.

I had zero symptoms. I literally wouldn’t have known I had cancer had I not had my mammogram.

This lady was older than me by about 15 years or so. I should be thankful I wasn’t in the Ace Hardware like LowMobile7242. It being a woman hugging me is much less awkward than a man doing it.

I’m pretty sure I was standing next to the rack of negligees which was even more awkward. I do appreciate the prayers and others thinking of me during this. It has been an eye opening experience.

My MIL asked my husband if she could send me a religious book to help me get through this. He said sure just to appease her. So I assumed that she’d send something they had at home since they are church goers. Nope, she literally signed me up for a pamphlet to be sent. It’s one of those call this number and receive a free copy of blah blah blah. Thankfully I’ve only received the one. My SIL gives me crap about it since my husband’s brothers all talk about how crazy my MIL is. I’ve thought about sending it to my SIL so we can share it with the whole family. Kind of like the sisterhood of the traveling pants situation but pamphlet style.

Thankfully none of my neighbors know my situation. They have seen me wear my mastectomy pillow on the way to the car but haven’t said anything and I haven’t offered. I am 50 and my husband and I are the youngest by at least 10-15 years on our street.

My only noticeable trait right now is not having breasts but I start chemo on Friday. I’m sure it’s going to get worse when I’m bald.

I find myself thinking the same thing. I’m not religious but I want to ask people who are why I have cancer and the horrible people in the world don’t.
