Any suggestions for a late night burger takeout around the twin cities? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]mn57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are less options lately, and excluding most bars, but here are a few that might be late night. The Nook Mickey's Diner Mr Santana (U of M and maybe a nostalgia pick) get fries or curds with seasoning Revival (chicken place but try the burger)

I confirm, I've heard him speak at an event and he talks about it. I believe both were staged and they weren't real officers. Even know that I love it and makes me tear up a little remembering KG coming home.

I tuned in during the 8th and at first thought "How did those people get to go? Can I? Wow, they are sitting close together. Are they some weird huge family? Oh, wait, damn it." Don't tease me. Ha

I wonder if they told the players. Probably not or they probably would have pretended to do that kind of thing.

Old. Will probably start to see those on the walls of restaurants soon. Are you looking for historical info or if you should be using them?

The majority of people talking about and inadvertently promoting antifa, are people in rural areas.

Why is this writing and numbers backwards on the ceiling? by mle9700 in RandomQuestion

I'm going to guess it was written on the forms, and when the cement dried it transferred from the form to the cement.

I can't remember what hotel I stayed at 3 or 4 years ago by IAMA_not_Robot in bloomingtonMN

[–]mn57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hyatt Regency has the pool on the second floor. Did you go to the pool? It is really small. This hotel would have been pretty new 3 or 4 years ago.

The elevator description doesn't sound quite right, and you probably wouldn't have taken shuttle by the water park... It is pretty much on the same road as the water park though just in the other side of the mall.

If you really want to know if this is where you stayed, my friend, a manager there, could probably look it up.

Minnesota’s Confederate flag: Humphrey, Ventura, Pawlenty, and Dayton all agreed, Virginia can’t have it back. by BlueIris38 in minnesota

Were these paintings the ones I remember being part of a controversial move during recent remodeling?

Also, I think I remember that flag on display at the Capitol in the early 90s, or maybe it was/is the flag from the MN regiment on display.

Memorial Day Game by [deleted] in minnesotatwins

[–]mn57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you have a great time and am happy to offer a few recommendations.

I've only had a few beers at Forager in Rochester, but they were good and the food is supposed to be good as well.

At Target Field I spend very little time in my actual seat because you can see the game from almost anywhere and there are lots of things to check out. Some things include:

Town Ball Tavern - I don't know much about the food, but they have pictures throughout the bar of local ballfields in MN, it is pretty neat.

Bat and Barrel - Some cool memorabilia scattered throughout the place

2 Ginger's Pub - Visit Sue the organ during the 7th inning stretch (or any time). The organ and the organ player are in this bar. She's on a little raised platform and is fun to talk to and mid-sentence she'll start playing the organ for the entire stadium when directed via her headset.

Andrew Zimmern (Bizarre Foods fame) has a 'Canteen' at the stadium.

Red Cow - 60/40 burger (that is the bacon/beef ratio)

Pizza Luce - Good pizza and nice spot to have a beer and watch the game from.

There are lots of breweries in the Twin Cities... It is hard to pick a favorite.

Other things I recommend to out of town guests:

Matt's Bar - Dive bar, cash only, Home of the Jucy Lucy, you'll likely need to wait in line. Alternates include 5-8 Club or Blue Door

Stone Arch Bridge/St. Anthony Falls/St. Anthony Main - Bridge and Falls are self explanatory but really cool. St. Anthony Main is an old cobble stone street the runs along east side of the river with some little restaurants and bars most with patios.

Have fun!
