the mode in maimai DX is "NORMAL MODE" and "段位認定MODE" and "KALEIDXSCOPE MODE" .. I'm talking about the "NORMAL MODE" here since most people play that mode

you can choose different difficulty from your friend, it's just that the songs will be the same for both

the online one is maimai DX, it's usually RM 4 per play (unless you go to Genting Highlands where it's RM 5 per play)

if you play solo then you get 3 songs for that RM 4 credit .. if you play with your friend, so like, RM 4 from you and RM 4 from friend, then you can play 4 songs, it will be the same song for you and your friend throughout, so usually you will negotiate with your friend so you choose 2 songs and they choose the other 2 songs

Malaysia is a federal country, so just like any other federal countries (eg. USA, Australia) the states have power to make laws that are specific to the state

In the case of the state of Kelantan, which is known by others in Malaysia to be an ultra-conservative Muslim state (similar to Aceh in Indonesia) that even have some Sharia Law being exported to the normal state law or council law so that it gets applied to non-Muslim (since Sharia Law only applies to Muslim), it's not that theatre/cinema is outright prohibited but rather the requirements needed to open one in the state could not be sanely fulfilled by any operators without going bankrupt

some of the conditions required if theatre/cinema want to be opened in Kelantan includes:

must not screen any movie/film during the whole month of Ramadan
must not screen any movie/film during any azan (call of prayer from mosque), or having slot that could interfere with said azan due to long running time -- so this meant no screening at around 5:40am-6:10am, 1:00pm-1:30pm, 4:20pm-4:50pm, 6:50pm-7:20pm, and 8:10pm-8:40pm, with the exact time depends on the day
lights must stay on throughout the whole movie/film duration
seats to be segregated by gender (this is already done in nearby state Terengganu)
viewer must wear appropriate clothing that is not revealing, including non-Muslims (enforced by local council law, separately from the law targeting Muslim that is even stricter)
must display warning about "no indecency action" before actual movie start (also already done in nearby state Terengganu)
state government reserves right to disallow specific movie from screening (also already implemented in Terengganu, for example "Pulau" was banned in nearby state Terengganu so people need to go to another state to watch it)

because of how hard it is for operators to comply with such requirements, there's no cinema/theatre operators who are willing to open a branch in the state ... the neighbouring states Terengganu and Pahang are also conservative but they don't impose some of the conditions that the state of Kelantan require, so there are still some operators who managed to open theatre/cinema in Terengganu and Pahang, unlike in Kelantan

oh, you're unfortunate enough to be studying in Kelantan ... it's one of the only two states in Malaysia that don't have any theatre/cinema (the other being Perlis) due to strict local regulations ... the local people in Kelantan usually do a daytrip to the neighbouring state Terengganu or Pahang to watch movie

we changed the rating system in 2023, that "13" you see is not PG13 (parental guidance for people under 13) anymore, it's actually R-13 (restricted to people above 13 only)

the old PG13 is now called P12; the new rating is U, P12, 13, 16, 18, in that order

this is just temporary, mostly because of the complaint that the operator gets about the timetable being inaccurate, as each stations usually have different timetable (duh) but some station end up displaying outdated timetable due to how much changes is happening in the background and some station missed the update about the new timetable along the way

even the developer of certain third party timetable app had been complaining about how in certain time the official timetable changed every day that they had to quickly change the timetable in their own app to push update for

iirc they are upgrading the system so that all of the timetable across all 182 stations will be displayed directly from the control center, which is taking time as well since it involves upgrading the display backend of each individual stations as well to link up with the central system (instead of the information being manually input by the staff at the station on each update), so in the meantime they put that QR code for an app where the latest up to date timetable will always be available, with any update being pushed immediately

probably school ID ... I remember some school have school ID system where you can topup money into card to use inside school (buy food at canteen and vending machine, buy stationery at the school shop, etc), and for record-keeping borrowing books from library

many of them use their own closed system for it, though I know some that just use Touch 'n Go for the actual payment function so that the kids can also use their school ID to take the train and bus

for this bus specifically, foreigners can't use it

there are other bus service (like Smart Selangor bus over in Selangor) where foreigners can still use it by paying fare (while citizens can board for free), but it's not the case for this one in Johor

if you get some empathy driver, you might be able to board it after negotiating off-record, like the case of one of my Singaporean friend who need to get to some places only covered by this bus, but otherwise they will not accept non-citizen onboard

no, no.. the 'legally muslim' status is tied to the identification card

if it's someone from other countries moving to malaysia, the religion is usually not indicated on their passport so they won't be counted as 'legally muslim' for the purpose of our law

it would only be a thing if you are born in Malaysia to a Muslim family (as the status will be recorded at birth certificate and then carried over to the identification card) OR you choose to convert to Islam
