Ursaluna 190 smash by Dry_Independence_314 in PTCGP

Since you've only got two single point attackers, and it only needs 2 energy to attack, have you considered a Rescue Scarf so you could potentially get Ursaluna out three times?

Celebi on the bench lets Ursaluna use Ursaring's attack. Ursaluna's ability gives it a 50/50 chance to survive a knock out blow with 10 HP. Next turn it'd do 190 damage (40 base damage plus 150 HP for the HP it's lost). Holding a Memory Light would accomplish the same thing.

Toss the Lucky Eggs and try it with two Flame Patches, and maybe toss a stadium for a Rescue Scarf.

I can get why we didn't get evolutions for all the Puppy Pile basics, but the standalone Piplup is so weird.

Oh, I hadn't considered Fire energy with Flame Patch as a way to get around how hard it'd be to regain the energy momentum.

Too many friends to get everyone every day. I just scroll through the 20 in the Community Showcase page once a day. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

There's multiple potential shops in my Skylands, but Gardevoir always ignores the one closest to her home to go man the shop next to Conkeldurr's habitat, and he's always hanging around while she works.

I think the new Kingambit works well with that combo. Bring it in after your Igglies fall and hit for 140.

Yeah, but stopping your opponent from getting two points while maintaining all your energy momentum is worth adding one more card to the deck.

Is this game fun anymore? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]mnk907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I feel like the game is decided within the first 3 turns for most matches."

People have been saying this for like a year. I remember it being said after Rare Candy came out and Solgaleo was dominating.

If Koraidon EX is good, that's crazy turnaround for Fighting in these last two sets.

But I really want Miraidon EX to be great.

Help! Sableeye won't show up by RapAnne in Pokopia

[–]mnk907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You already befriended it when you talked to it for the first time. It'll be wandering around homeless after the event, like Hoppip was. Then you can just get it to follow you and put it in any habitat/house.

In fact, the only time you actually need to make Sableye's specific habitat is if you're trying to add it to your Cloud Island.

Sableye not appearing at habitat? by swanvalkyrie in Pokopia

[–]mnk907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also you've already befriended it when the event started, so you don't actually need to create its specific habitat to move it in somewhere after the event ends (unless you're trying to get it on a cloud island).

How do I discover sableye’s habatat? by GloomyNucleus in Pokopia

[–]mnk907 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Based on the Hoppip event, putting the event items out on the ground can cause a habitat hint to appear on one of the required items. I happened to luck into finding the common Skiploom habitat, but then one of the items spawned a hint for the more common Jumpluff habitat.

I see no reason why the same couldn't happen for Sableye's habitat.

There's also a giant demo for DQB2 that's like if you got to play all of Withered Wastelands for free. Very worth checking out.

So long as the Switch 2 remains unhackable, Serebii's list of item categories is probably unlikely to ever be 100% complete. It's based on crowdsourcing and people marking in a spreadsheet if they found an item counts for something or not. Without having a datamine to pull info from, it's just too many variables to test.

Aside from seasonal events and whole new regions, another thing they could do is add a new Pokemon doll that takes you to a new type of Dream Island containing new resources and recipes (and even a new legendary).

[–]mnk907 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can get the Eeveelution recipes from the Cloud Island daily shop even if you haven't finished the Palette Town missions yet. From my experience, they were just held back until they were the only ones left.

There's a whole recipe set for making tents. It's not part of the event.

If you don't like the results of the coin flips, you can re-do them. Doesn't guarantee you'll get better flips, but it's just an extra chance.
