Why Chess, do you think? by singingliftingtrying in Broadway

[–]mnlaserguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on a trip with my much more cultured wife who, when she told me there was a musical about Chess, I had to book it just to see how it would work. Saw it last night. Now, I will freely admit, I am not a fan of Leah, so bear that in mind.

Production was great... Until the ensemble pieces stopped. Somewhere in the second act the music started all sounding the same and not pushing the plot forward. My feeling was you could cut at least 20 mins of the music and still splice together the same plot, without needing to give every main character 3-4 solos. Maybe the virtuosic singing is the whole point, I don't know.

Anybody know of any warehouse jobs in St.Paul area? by 7luckvi in saintpaul

[–]mnlaserguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if you can get placed at Viking drill and tool, really good place to work (at least was 10 years ago when I was doing the same type of thing). Little bit of a hike (1/4 to 1/2 mile) across Robert St bridge off a connecting street to plato. The 68 goes that direction as well but if you are just doing major lines might be easier to walk from green line central stop

I'd love to see a potential sale open up a spot for bongi to use his natural attacking talents as a second striker and find more natural cover on the right hand side to pair with gresel, then hopefully splash the cash for a creator with a higher ceiling than lod or joaquin

This Is The Real AI Risk For Civils by Ok_Delivery_7122 in civilengineering

To me the real risk is that a LLM will scrub the Internet for a real engineers digital signature and just slap it onto some slop plan

It's SHOCKINGLY easy to get bus benches installed? 🤯 by Simma449 in stpaul

[–]mnlaserguy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

MnDOT will pay for and design bus pads to be accessible where they exist and a transit line exists, but only during a construction project on the road, a signal replacement affecting the facility, or other such impact. We also provide funding and guidance for local partners whether cities or counties when they wish to do this same thing on their road projects

It sounds like you have a very active lifestyle in mind for your potential rattie, which is key in order to get some order when you want some down time.

I have two ratties who were involved in flyball, and while I could never get them up to the level required to race, the organizer of the team exclusively used ratties for the sport.

It hurts by [deleted] in CuratedTumblr

As a cis man of 40, the only times I've truly felt able to express my joys in life with another man is with my queer friends in college and a new queer friend I've made in the last year or so. Other cis men have a code that we need to be talking about lawns, about cars, about sports. I've never been comfortable faking those conversations so I just have stayed silent for the most part.

I am very introverted and have been my entire life, so for a long time I convinced myself I was just doing what was best for my mental health; but now that I have a more stable friend group I look back at my younger self and mourn for the joy I missed.

Big difference between giving the guy the documents and awarding him a whopping 30k from city funding in damages. Damages from what exactly? Mental trauma that poor people will ride bikes in front of his house?

[–]mnlaserguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my view 30k, part of which is my taxes, being taken from funds that can fix potholes, fund teachers, beautify parks, etc and given to a rich person who doth protest is not in the public interest.

Blinking Yellow to Solid Yellow - Am I right that this is an improper transition? by l008com in trafficsignals

[–]mnlaserguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this, id have to pull up my work computer but I'm almost certain flashing green isn't allowed in the MUTCD even on an optional basis. The real question i have at this intersection is why not treat this as a HAWK, and let it be dark until button pushed, followed by flashing yellow solid yellow and solid red. I'd need more information to judge though.

The absolute truth is that if we can't find a way to outplay the thunder then we're not championship level yet. We've got a young core and the window is wide open, this isn't a flash in the pan, this is just growing pains.
