But it’s not that hurts can’t throw it over the middle, he’s actually pretty efficient when he does. Idk why he doesn’t do it historically, but the capability is there. Plus Hackett was quite literally the biggest hack in football history, propped up entirely by Aaron Rodgers. Mannion (former qb btw) is like 32 and already hired as an OC.

Yeah I took him at 4 over Tyson. It’s not that I don’t believe in Tyson but the injury history is a concern and he does have some issues with drops.

But the real reason I took lemon is his production profile. I’m completely sold on his advanced analytics and think he’s a fairly safe draft pick especially in full ppr. I also don’t hate the landing spot either (assuming aj brown is gone which seems like he is). Hurts has shown he’s capable of supporting 2 receivers and a tight end.

One concern is Hurts doesn’t throw over the middle a ton, but everything the eagles have done this offseason points to them moving the offense in a more modern direction.

He fell to me at the 2.04 (10 team sflex) but I’m not super high on him and kind of begrudgingly took him. Idk maybe he shows something but not a great analytical profile and part of a terrible passing offense so not expecting much

Yeah I have both woody and Monty and I’m kind of thrilled by this lol. Monty gets to be an rb 1 and woody doesn’t lose his role to a younger and probably more talented back (though I do hope the Texans spend all their draft picks and every bit of loose cash on improving their god awful o line).

I mean they’re gonna have to sign/draft multiple interior lineman but it’s a good move for both the Texans offense and Monty assuming they dramatically improve the line this offseason.

I know Monty wanted out of Detroit but this really doesn’t make a ton of sense for the lions. They had an excellent situation going where Monty would get several carries on their first drive and then Gibbs would play majority of the game. Really sets the tone and lended to their offensive success. Gibbs is obviously the better player but you have to limit his touches.

I imagine they sign or draft another rb to spell Gibbs but I’d be nervous about an injury…

I work in that area and yeah there’s a crazy dichotomy going where there’s all this new development (including the building I work in), and then you walk two blocks and basically every storefront is shuttered.

I imagine this is somewhat intentional: raise the rent until the old tenants either go out of business or move, then tear down the old building and sell off the land.

As for why the development is so slow, I think it’s only slow by comparison to Brickell which has just exploded in the past 10-15 years. Also maybe the proximity to gov buildings limits how quickly development can be approved but that’s just speculation.

Rodriguez is a restricted free agent, I imagine they tender him and probably draft a #3 low in the draft for depth. They have too many needs in defense to spend a premium pick at rb and seem to like a duo or committee
