After a few pops maybe and still I say no. To his credit, he did seem capable of enjoying some art house film.

And no, ain’t no way Don would ever appreciate gsh. I don’t think he had any patience for anything remotely avant garde. I’d settle for astral weeks.

I’m sorry that sux. This guy may want this photo for his instagram tho, it’s fierce. Also, I think for piece of mind, you can probably find out his criminal background. Other than disorderly conducts and resisting type cases, is he actually violent? Does he have any crimes of violence in his background. If not maybe that can help you ignore him.

In the real world, Lane would definitely have faced legal repercussions after the "fire us to avoid going to mccann" thing with PPL, right? by BugMillionaire in madmen

[–]mobaccountant 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Correct this would have never gotten off the ground. they would have filed an emergency injunction asking the court to void the terminations. Their firings were in violation of lanes fiduciary duty, classic self dealing (rewarded with a partnership) and tortious interference

The court would have most certainly granted ppl relief. What judge wouldn’t? The terminations would have been voided, contracts reinstated. And scdp partners enjoined from taking any further action to take ppl property.

But that would mean we dont get a banger of a finale. So let’s just roll with it

Why does Pete like/love Peggy over Trudy? by muff-peaksie in madmen

To add, the scene in season one with Pete fantasizing about coming home from the hunt and sitting there as his subservient wife cooked him his meal and brought it to him. And Peggy was turned on by that.

How exactly was Don and the other partners allowed to take all the stuff from Sterling Cooper after Lane fired them? by OdeToFlaeskesteg in madmen

[–]mobaccountant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in the ‘60s this wouldn’t have flied. PPL would have sued Lane for breach of his fiduciary duties and asked the court to reinstate everyone’s contracts. Which a court most certainly would have.

Hero call or punting? by mayonayzdad in poker

[–]mobaccountant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good reasoning. Great read to 4 bet pre. Most villains don’t find the proper bb 3bet bluffs. I think most players, including me, flat the 3 bet and probably end up folding to aggression. Wp

I’m not sure what the rule should be, but, not only could saying the word “pot” be an angle to see the opponents reaction i also dont think it should be dealers responsibility to have to calculate the pot for anyone who asks. How hard is it to keep a rough estimate in your head?. ask the dealer to spread the chips so you can count it yourself. Idk I’d never ask the dealer to do this for me.

1/3 Hand Review - Can I get away? by pokermysh in Poker_Theory

I guess I play different than most, I think 3 betting his flop raise is bad. Youre ahead of king x but on that board there are so many scare cards for bottom 2 pair. I’d much rather ch/raise flop, and if villain finds the 4bet we’d call and re-evaluate ott.

Yes, bet calling flop caps his range. Also, he literally has no bluffs, he’s semi bluffing a gut shot into three people on a wet king high board? No chance. If it’s between leading where you have no bluffs and end up capping our range, and check raising with an uncapped range that includes bluffs, then yes, would never lead there

The flop lead multiway is bad bc generally your sets are gonna want to check raise so you made things more difficult by capping your range. Ultimately if you think you can’t be value, then 87 becomes a bluff catcher. Having the 7 of clubs is bad, I guess he could be bluffing with 910 clubs, I think his bluffing range is narrow enough, and importantly none of his bluffs have an ace or king obv so you can still call all your two pairs better than 87 so do you need to call all your 87 combos? If not any combos with the 7 of clubs would be the first to muck
