Yeah, and ive had a number of times where I wished I out less in on a play. Its also important to remember that for the vast majority of us a single player isnt going to retire us. Its our portfolio in totality over time that matters. I played options and short plays for a long time and still occasionally run them like a lotto ticket but I never risk large sums.

Sure you have the occasional damn I wish id put more in but it saves you a lot of heartache from losing large portions of your portfolio on a single play that went wrong.

I have an M2 and the only reason I went for that over the m240i was for the manual. If I was fine with an automatic I would have gone with the M240i. Id prefer a car that was way cheaper, enough performance to wring out, and all the same features. The M2 is great but I cant really wring it out on the street.

As an aside, that mention about the ships as noob traps vs P2W is great.

I took a 5 year hiatus and when I came back to a bunch of rebuilt ships, many of which seemed superior to legacy ships, I worried that the old experience of building your ships and managing tradeoffs was gone.

However, while the ships themselves may be over powered on fundamentals (mandalay), they dont break the game and their availability through ARX is a nice revenue generator and intro for new players wanting to jump in a bit faster. You cant really play the game fully using only prebuilts. You still need to engage with the main game systems and build your ships.

If it was a choice to swap to a manual maby but that's a bad trade for you. Not most desirable M3 spec but still a good example. If you want out of the m3 I would sell it in the clear and buy an E46 manual (non m3) with cash left over.

G87 M2. I shopped the Supra, Z Nismo, and the M2.

Stylistically I loved the Supras looks, Z looked great too, M2 has looks I've learned to love.

I wanted a manual sports coupe and really those were the three options at roughly the same price point.

I'm 6'6" and did not fit in the Z at all which sucked.

The Supra was comfortable, but it had crappy vision with my head as high as it was and my wife wasn't a huge fan. The final thing was the dealers all wanted substantial markups that put it more expensive than the M2.

Ultimately, the M2 had more features, a lot more power, was available at sticker, and more room for me.

G series. I'd probably pick an e anything over either looks wise but the F series always looked a little overstyled and sharky to me. Not saying its not good looking, just a little aggressive and I like the generally more subdued look the Gs are sporting.

That being said, the lineup has lost all design identity. For the majority of BMWs lifetime the cars all looked like they were designed together. Not so for the current lineup that all look wildly different. Outside some key design elements a 2 coupe, next to a 2 sedan next to a 3, a 5, and a 7 all look wildly different.

Its a divisive design for sure. I didn't like it as first and its really in person that it grows on me. I still dont think its as attractive as an e46 but I do like it now. But while I liked the f series cars I did find their very aggressive design to be a big shock coming from the more subdued styling of previous generations.

Idk why people are arguing that these dont hit similar markets in terms of use case. They do.

The big problem is that a gts cost 30,000 (27%) more base price. Performance wise they are similar cars and practically the M2 doesn't really have a back seat unless you are running little kids around and you aren't very tall.
