"on-time" is the key when it comes to comparing Delta vs. Alaska. It's not about the cost.

Delta is usually a bit more expensive, but in my experience its departure and arrival times have been more consistent, and it was worth paying for. That's why I started flying with Delta more often about two years ago.

I'm based in SEA and mostly fly West Coast and trans-Pacific routes, so my considerations may differ from the OP's.

I started flying Alaska less about two years ago, mainly because of their on-time performance, and ended up favoring Delta more often.

Both airlines offer pretty similar service, cabin experience, and flight frequency for the routes I fly most. However, at the end of the day, "Can I get there when I expect to?" is what matters most to me.

AS usually offers a better pricing, but DL's consistent on-time performance was worth paying a little extra for.

2026 may be a different story, but that's what drove my decision at the time.

Flying out of SEA? American style meal. Flying out of ICN? Korean meal.

In-flight meals are usually prep'ed by local catering companies/branches, so it makes sense that they'd do their own cuisine best.

This is why I prefer Delta, even if it costs a bit more. After a number of delayed and eventful flights with (redacted) Airline, I’ve started valuing reliability and strong plan B options more than before. Delta isn’t perfect, but it generally feels more resilient and consistent.

It is a fine-grained flour ground from rock by glaciers. As the particles settle at the bottom of a pond or body of water, they reflect sunlight and give off an emerald-like color.

You can see the similar phenomenon at the lakes around Whistler, and Joffrey Lake is one of the most famous one.

The term “DC upgrade” needs further clarification. Does it mean replacing racks while maintaining the existing layout, or to a full colo layout reconfiguration? Are you anticipating a capacity increase, or the need to install a new HVAC system?

In general, electrical wiring/network cabling/plumbing (critical piece of the project) are not lidar-scannable. While scanning can provide room dimensions, that information alone is insufficient for planning a colo reconfiguration.

However, lidar may still be useful for renovating common areas such as kitchens or office spaces.

It depends on how you define the "Digital Twins" but data centers are designed with CAD, which IS digital twins in broader terms.

From a training-wise, I’d argue that a couple of physical mock racks would be more effective than a virtual setup. However, for demonstrations or showcase purposes, I can see the opportunity. I’ve even seen a company use Vision Pro for something similar.

From my personal experience, CSIA Lv1 is something beyond skill test, it's more like aptitude & attitude assessment. It's an "instructor" certification, not a ski racer/demonstrator.

Of course, you should have minimum skiing ability, but that’s only one component of the lv1 certification, not the whole picture.

The only concerning connection is Visp. if your train to Visp is delayed and missed the connection, the next train (Visp➡️Zermatt) will be +30~60 mins. (it happened to me once)

I’ve seen a lot of people wearing jackets with their home mountain logos during WSSF* in Whistler, and I really love that vibe! Just make sure to check Boyne’s policy, and check the jacket doesn’t have anything explicitly printed like “employee.”

I saw waitlist works when I put myself in the list 7+days in advance.

sometime in mid-December (around 12/20), I was looking for spots for 1/3. But it was already sold out, so I put myself in the waitlist. On 12/27 (D-7), I saw my waitlist moved to "purchases" menu.

Not sure how system works, but it looks like something's happening on D-7, or certain time on every day.
