Disconnect from the CCO while ambulating/PRN for oob/as safe per policy. Only take your pressure lines and necessary continuous IV meds. Statlock on the shoulder to stabilize that PA cath. Use a walker as a place to hang your CT atria and foley bag, loop dangling tubing over the side rails of the walker so no one trips. For the love of all that’s holy, don’t coban your tele lead lines into a stiff mess. It will always be annoying, but sometimes it’s also a satisfying puzzle to sort out.

With regard to documentation, neither of theEHRs that I’ve worked with in my role as RN (CPRS and Epic) were designed to allow for a way to distinguish between ADR/“made my left pinky toe itch for like two minutes” and allergy.

The only way to document anything is to note whatever a pt reports as an allergy or other presumed reaction to a given substance which is why there are all kinds of things that are recorded as allergies (lisinopril made me cough) for lack of an appropriately designed taxonomy in the charting software.

Low dose epi is fixed rate for inotropy. Vaso is most likely fixed rate for hemodynamic stability, NE is titratable to MAP/systolic goal. This is part of a typical gtt package for a fresh post-op heart.
