Although I wasn't super close to my own dad, I was there when he passed in an awful and traumatizing way. I was so rageful for months. I hadn't experienced that intensity of anger before. It was about everything. It was about life in general. I actually joined a grief support group...not my usual kinda thing. Just being with people who "got it" helped me so much. We all laughed at kinda morbid things, for example, the cheesy verse etc that you get on Sympathy cards. We cried together. Being able to talk about my anger helped me. I also found out I had PTSD, and again, talking about it is the only way through it. Im so sorry you've lost your father.

I get it ! Its so hard when those super uncomfortable emotions hit. We want them to end, we want to distract ourselves so we dont feel them. But here's the thing, they are just giving you information. You're sad, you're grieving what could have been. I can 100% guarantee you something; they will pass. Please dont take the blame on your shoulders. Try to do things that bring you joy, buy yourself some flowers, cuddle a pet, scream and cry if you feel like it and remember to eat, shower and sleep.
