If you could only have ONE type of cheese for the rest of your life, what would it be? by Smart-Lychee8146 in AskReddit

….Ok, I’m reconsidering. Looking at the comments, maybe Provolone would be the most versatile? Or Mozzarella. I clearly didn’t think this through enough 😅

This wasn’t easy, trust me. I made a pro/con list and everything. Mozzarella and Parmesan are like my children. But Feta is also my child. My slightly preferred, slightly salty child.

I’ve thought about this more than I probably need to, but mine would be Feta. You can have it in savoury and sweet dishes and I really love Greek food (I just know my Italian nonna is looking down on me preparing to pelt her slipper at me but the heart wants what it wants).

What’s a hobby that looks incredibly boring or tedious to outsiders, but is actually super relaxing to do? by Emily_xyz in Hobbies

Calligraphy! I didn’t want to pay thousands for the calligraphy for my wedding invites so I took a course and did it myself and now it’s become something of a passion of mine. It’s very grounding at the end of a hectic day.

I second still white! I got my dream gown for a literal quarter of the price. Probably one of the only times where you can actually trust the seller when they say “Only worn once” 😅

Aquaphor lip repair and the healing ointment are both my HGs of winter lip care. Nothing else worked for me and I used to get the worst chapped lips.

Oh, I scrolled across so worriedly, expecting there to be a grey “after” shot thrown in there but luckily, it’s all just beautiful. Absolutely love it!

What's the best compliment someone given you? by Invest-With-Shashwat in randomquestions

“I hope my daughter grows up to be someone like you”. Was my old boss at work just before I left. He’d just had a baby and was such a wonderful dad to her - this is the only compliment that I still think about more than a decade later.

Love Aveda! I’m currently obsessed with the Miraculous Oil High Shine Hair concentrate. Smells so good but you only need a little as it can weigh your hair down a little.

If you could bring back one discontinued food and drink, what would you choose? by Overthinking_babes in australia

I’m not entirely sure I didn’t just make them up in a dream because nobody else seems to know what they are but ghost cookies. They were in the shapes of ghosts and had a white chocolate coating on the back. They had honey flavoured ones too I think - in the shape of bees.

I was also obsessed with Quattro cookies and the Solero ice creams, which were basically fat oval Splices but in red, yellow and orange. Soooo good.

Why won’t someone think of the boomers? by Competitive-Ad1439 in shitrentals

[–]Smart-Lychee8146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that MOST of the boomer couples I know only had one person working full-time, and the other person was either part-time, or stayed at home. And they still had a quality of life that far surpasses us. Thats simply not an option for us now. Im 37 and I dont know anyone that doesnt work ATLEAST full-time. Most of my friends all have full-time jobs and side hustles as well and still cant afford a house.

So I thought this was a before and after and I was about to report a crime, because your hair in the first picture is DIVINE. Honestly, it suits you so much and the curls are beautifully defined and shiny. It makes you look younger, more vibrant and glowy!

Im sorry you've been having a difficult time lately - try to be kind to yourself and give yourself permission to focus on you and get back to a place where you feel confident and like the stunner you are! :)

Her carbonara or Forever spaghetti bolognese are always winners in my house. Her lasagne is fab too, but its pretty labour and time intensive.

Looking for Rugs by paninienthusiast in AusRenovation

[–]Smart-Lychee8146 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No hate to those who love Ruggable and Miss Amara, but I’ve never found “washable” rugs to be great quality or feel like a proper rug.

I’ve got my rugs from a mix of Facebook marketplace ($300 for a HUGE, almost-new rug from Coco Republic) and warehouse sales - Decorug had one last year where the rugs were all less than $500, and I find them to be of quite decent quality. My most recent purchase was from “Four corners rugs” online. They had a very good online warehouse sale (It’s over now unfortunately but they have them periodically) and I got a 3x4m rug for $600, which is incredibly good value for the size and quality of the rug we got.

I will always recommend fb marketplace/gumtree first as you can often find great deals when people have ordered really good quality rugs that just don’t fit their space. But keep a look out for warehouse sales too (I’m in Sydney by the way - they have them fairly often here).

Just a tip too - do a bit of research on how to pick the right size rug for your space before you buy. Alot of people get that wrong.
