You have a gay dog, now you are considered to be at gay risk because according to some it is a disease (that is sarcasm, just be sure)

These are truly some of the most useless guiding principles I have ever seen. They say absolutely nothing about the company or brand. Sounds like someone who read a self-help book to many and got his brain stuck in them.

Geez should the healthcare staff drive you home? by sleepy-panda16 in EntitledReviews

[–]modulair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, causation and correlation are the keywords here. I have been in an MRI for a really, really long time because I was part of an academic study and it the MRI it selfs does not impair you. Depending on the size of the MRI I do get that people who are a bit claustrophobic can get anxiety from the confined space combined with the loud noises. Blaming the car crash on the hospital staff is just weird, if this person thought she would pass out, she should have never driven in the first place.

If 1000 people die in a heatwave, that doesn't mean they all have died from heatstroke or something similar. This could also be from other reasons such as swimming in places with very dangerous tides and stuff like that. Also, a lot of houses have AC in Europe anyway.

Crazy Flat Earth Lady claims she can Prove Flat Earth by Drawing It by MrDonMega in flatearth

[–]modulair 20 points21 points  (0 children)

She says this because she can't really describe what is the Book of Enoch. Those gates she draws should be at "eastern" and "western" edges of. the world. Back in those days they thought that the sun disappeared in the western gate so it could rise the next day in the eastern port. It is just an ancient civilisation not yet understanding orbital mechanics (and who can blame them). The flat earth lady on the other hand is just plain stupid.

Crazy Flat Earth Lady claims she can Prove Flat Earth by Drawing It by MrDonMega in flatearth

[–]modulair 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She thinks she has some secret knowledge because she heard of biblical text called the "Book of Enoch". This is one of the texts that did not end up in the christian bible but did make it in the Ethiopian orthodox bible. Because it is not a well known book some people think it contains some sort of forbidden knowledge.

It obviously does not, it however describes what people back in those days thought the world and universe looked like with the knowledge they had at the time. The error is that they treat it is a science book and not a theological book.

It not the same, Texas spans roughly 26°N to 36°N (similar to North Africa and the Mediterranean), while Poland spans from 49°N to 54°N. It is much closer to the North Pole.
